If it was a meeting about or with his son, that seems a personal issue rather than the sensational headline above.

on the other hand, if Ineos sign someone from wolves next week…

The article goes into his son being there but observes it's unusual for an academy kid's father to have a one to one with their sporting director, whose remit is focused on the first team. While there he also had a conversation with Gary O'Neill who was later linked with Man U. "Not that there's any suggestion of wrongdoing".

Presumably it was a meeting in works time to discuss personal matters...

Crack on with your derisory offers Man U. What a small time club they’ve become

Absolutely incredible that they are offering £3m when we paid £4m for him. What planet is they cheap bastards on

Absolutely no problem with them digging their heels in tbh, they're entitled to do so. We're also entitled to sit and wait while they operate without a DoF for another 15 months or whatever it is

Exactly.

Ultimately I get the impression this is going to hinge on the arbitration case. If they find in his favour then we'll have to bite the bullet. If they find in our favour then I'm sure we'll settle but it'll be nearer our valuation than theirs.

Going to Wolves to ask how his son is getting on breaches him being on gardening leave how exactly? Assuming that was the reason for the visit of course.

Is the basis of our argument in regards to the tapping up email etc, that he passed on exactly how his compensation etc at Brighton was structured.

Therefore he might’ve cost us less than £3M thus far?

I don't see what leg they have got to stand on - Ashworth signed the contract, he clearly understood what he was signing - end of.

Yes, allowing Man Utd to pitch for a “at cost” compensation rather than what we want. So ideally we could/should take what Man Utd offer and then sue Ashworth for potential damages and losses caused by him sending over price sensitive information.

If this guy is best in class, then it does make you wonder about the standard of Directors of Football.  He seems like an absolute clown.

It’s amazing what a good PR can do for your career to keep a reputation high.

Suspect we and Brighton will look back on his spells as short lived, and thankful it wasn’t long term.

Might say in his contract that he’s not allowed to be in direct contact with any other premier league sides whilst on gardening leave from NUFC

Wouldn’t matter if he was using Swan Vesta’s to light the pitch side pyro at Mollinuex, or trying to sell Harry Maguire to them, the daft cunt shouldn’t be there if his contract says he’d be in breach by visiting Wolves in any capacity

And we now all know that Dan’s not the sharpest tool in the shed

Fucking divvy doesn’t even know how to use BCC

Poor Dan, all he wants to do is earn a few quid for his family by fucking over his current employer that paid a kings ransom to buy out his contract and Fuck off to a rival club with all of our information about our future plans and structure of next season, I bet he wishes his potential employers were as professional as his current ones.

Ashworth met with Matt Hobbs who is a Wolves sporting director who's main remit is the first team

I would suggest that it is unlikely that any other parents of academy players would be granted access to such a high ranking member of Wolves' management team

If the meeting was about how his son was progessing surely the first point of contact would be someone who works with the academy players day to day and not a board member

Of course none of the above proves he is in breach of contract but it does raise questions as to his motives

Froggy must have hid notifications turned off or doing the gardening

Plenty of posts today. Just nothing to say on Sir Dan. We either get him for cheap or wait a year and get him for nothing while you pay him millions.

Probably working for us now anyway. :bluestar:
