 you’re not claiming we should’ve had a pen. Sound like an Arsenal fan man.

An Arsenal fan would claim that's a handball? Are you ok in the head?

Pope is what he is and will always be what he is

Brain dead moment from him there but remains our best option until we get an elite keeper

I don't personally think Ramsdale is that keeper but he does deserve some game time if Pope was in really bad form that went more than just one game.

I don’t think there’s anything to be concerned about. He’s had a good season so far - and also a keeper is always going to be somewhat criticised for being at fault for a goal even if they make lots of other good contributions. Sure he’ll be disappointed himself - afraid it’s true to an extent with a keeper or defender that one bad moment can undo a lot of good, at this level.

dont see him being dropped any time soon, but I can imagine Howe being keen for the opportunity to give Ramsdale a go if there’s a few such mistakes

Not going to blame him on us losing, as he saved us first half when we should’ve been 3+ down.

We all know he has a brain fart in him, you just hope you are 2 up when he does it, or early in the game.

He's a Premier League goalkeeper. An average keeper saves all bar possibly 1 he's made today. 2 including the first 10 seconds v Wolves this season.

Very harsh he made atleast three worldie saves today. That an average keeper wouldn't have got near.

Great game today, but totally spoiled by that crazy decision to kick it long at the end.

He can't kick and never tries to kick it quickly. What the hell was that?!

Pope just never does that. One of the most random mental decisions ever from him.

Then compounds that error by doing a terrible job coming out to punch on the corner.

Couldn't believe it.

An average PL keeper is probably someone like Verbruggen at Brighton (though he’s going to get better, obvs). Are you seriously saying someone of that quality gets nowhere near the saves Pope made today? Hyperbolic nonsense.

Dubravka saves all bar the Timber one. He's a lower level PL keeper. Verbruggen, Kelleher, dare I say, Ramsdale, etc make the saves Pope makes today. And they don't shit the bed when the ball is at their feet.

Having watched Verbruggen a fair bit, yes I would say that.

Kept us in it then made a huge mental mistake and cost us a point. Not going to pile in on him as he'll be feeling shitter than most tonight but not killing another 30 seconds by holding on to it and staying nice and calm has ultimately cost us

He made a really good save low to his right in the 2nd half. Shortly after he kicked a clearance into touch near the halfway line and started getting pelters around me.

Idiots would rather have an outfield player in goal the way they go on.
