The 14-year-old winger impressed on trial at Newcastle and is set to join the club in a deal rising to £200,000. #NUFC #pvfc feel a bit dodgy making a thread about a 14 year old Geed up

Looking at this stats this season and they don't seem to impressive at first with 18 Apps and 6 G/A in all competitions but when you see that he's then only played 90mins 4 times during that it looks decent. Ofcourse you could then argue why he's only played 90mins 4 time but Southampton have had a topsy-turvy turvy season so perhaps that's a reason in itself. Matt1892
Let’s be honest, if he hadn’t gone to Southampton and we were trying to sign him from Racing this summer people would be excited about him as they were about the possibility of signing França, Perrone and Andrey Santos. He scored 4 in 18 for Southampton despite him being played from DM all the way to CF, in what was easily the worst team in the league. That was a good bedding in period for any foreign player coming from South America. Him and Lavia looked really good out of the youngsters they have. Schecter
I think he looked decent and I was very surprised when I found out he was only 20. Plays like a seasoned pro.

Possibly but I didn't see his name at all in the 'who would you take from the relegated clubs' lists. Apologies if someone did!

I was sure he was a winger/ attacking midfielder ala Pedro. Could swear he was playing as a striker against us as well? Didn’t realize he was mostly deployed as a centre-mid. Does that mean he can play as a six and a second striker? Good thing is - and this is a first in my entire time supporting the club - I have total faith in Ashworth. He'll have a short and long term plan.
SUPERTOON
Anyone think we will go back in ? https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1666122131753582593?s=20 ? PSG are open to selling Hugo Ekitiké this summer. ??? The player would rather stay but is open to leaving if he is guaranteed more playing time and the club plays in Europe. Viana
I'm going to say no. His technique in tight spaces didn't look great. This is pure speculation on my part, but I think we saw him as a great project player when we could play high press counter attack football that we would then sell on. That ship has sailed. Kid Icarus
Could obviously be wrong but I think Isak was the go big or go home option that we went for instead of Ekitike and Pedro.
