Matt1892
Would it be against the rules for us to sign Gundogan on a 2 year contract and the Saudi lot sign him on a pre contract for 25/26 on another 2 year contract? 2 years with us for £100k a week and then another 2 years on a £1 million a week? He has a great engine and gets through loads of graft. Not the best with the ball at his feet, but he'd be a reasonably cheap option if we're looking at a number six type. 21 minutes ago, Rich said: Think Howe would properly love Adams, like. He's got a touch of Kanté about him and loads of room to get even better. I cant say I've seen him play much but if this is true sign him up, especially for that price. He doesn't need to pass it very far as we'll have decent passers close to him. Was surprised to see that Tiote had our highest pass total in a season reading the Trippier thread and Cheick wasnt exactly a fantastic passer. If Adams could do a similar job or better I'd be all for it.

Matt1892
The issue with Adam’s is that he doesn’t offer any real improvement on the shortcomings of Longstaff, which is surely what we should be looking for in a first team replacement in his position. Very very against the rules, and that’s the exact thing the PL will be looking for now that PIF own the 4 main Saudi clubs, inflated transfers from Newcastle to one of the 4 clubs and suspicions loans of high value players to us from 1 of the 4 clubs Edited June 8, 2023 by nufcnick

Some of it is about squad depth, so a like for like of Longy is no bad thing for the squad!
rebelrouser
Mac Allister salary supposed to be fairly reasonable £150,000 week at Liverpool (Sport Bible). I would be extremely happy to have signed him for £35M and £150,000 a week.

St1pe
Adams would be a great signing if the numbers are right. He’s impressed every time I’ve seen him and he’d suit our pressing/aggressive style. I’m not sure he offers a lot going forward though and as long as we buy a creative player he’d be worthwhile.

Deuce
I could see Adams landing at Fulham, particularly given their affinity for Yank players, if Palhinha gets a big money move away. Very similar players.

I'm not surprised to see Tiote had such great pass percentages at all, a lot of our fans were probably more impressed by Shelvey-esque hollywood ball types at the time. Not that I blame them in a time where we relied on a touch of magic for our odd goal here and there.
