I can - if he wants to go and we pay the price he'll be sold.

mighty__mag
So he could technically leave in the summer if he's unwilling to resign? Or does a number of appearances or some clause trigger it.......

The Prophet
Seems that we went back in, even after signing Isak.

The Athletic says the extension is triggered by the club. “Belgium forward Trossard and Argentina midfielder Mac Allister currently have deals which expire in June 2024. Those deals including one-year options for the club, as previously reported by The Athletic, but both players could now be set for an extended stay.”

AyeDubbleYoo
It's funny to think that, in American sports, salaries and contract details are completely public. Edited October 31, 2022 by AyeDubbleYoo

Yeah it will be related, it's just really funny to know exactly what everyone is on. Even players obviously know that someone else in the squad is on 10 times as much as them. sixx
Barring injuries I can't see us bringing in more than one player this January. Literally no one is underperforming - probably not a good idea to bring in a few players upsetting the balance at such a time. If I had to guess we'd bring in a winger but I'm pretty sure it's going to be dependant on the injury situation. Could be a classic DM, even a left back. Unless they really believe we can now push on a) I think they do believe that, and b) there's nothing wrong with leavening the squad with more mature players e.g. Trippier's what he is partly because he's not still 23. Conjo
We have one of the oldest squads in the league already. Should be enough mature players here. Go for the potentially next level players, not the old and slightly better than we have players.
Wolfcastle
I wonder what we'll do if say Leicester wont sell Maddison in Jan but he's the guy we want. Operationally we don't seem like we'd go for alternatives now but we now have the added temptation of an extra push maybe being the difference between Europe and not. There's also the risk of not getting him anyway down the line. First world problems though.
