It's an absolutely superb city if you're comfortable financially. That said I would question the sum motivation of any footballer who would put location ahead of their footballing career. As long as you're a serious club being in the north should be no barrier to attracting serious professionals. Liverpool and Manchester clubs are the case in point there. Plus to top level footballers their geographical base becomes almost irrelevant these days, tbh. You have family life and work - and then you have the financial means to do and go as you please in your time off anyway. Or just do what I did and pay £400 a month for a single shitty room in a house share in South London with a crackhead alcoholic landlord who lets himself into your room and steals from you on the reg. Was still mint.

Holloway
London's alright if you remain unaffected by the general ambience of indifference in it's residents. Spurs stadium however, couldn't be in a worse spot, it's absolutely fucking rotten around there

gbandit
Lived in Enfield, Fulham and Earlsfield over six years. The city exhausted me, couldn’t handle how everywhere was a sensory overload. Best thing I ever did was decide to cycle everywhere. I loved the parks there and it’s a great place to visit but I’d never live there again even if I was very comfortable financially

LionOfGosforth
Went to WHL in 1987 for the infamous fa cup game. Recall the day being dank and gloomy and while we walked with a police escort through this housing estate to the ground, all the locals were on their balconies watching us in silence. It was really fucking eerie. Aye, that area was, and probably still is, shite.
andyc35i
I live in Harrow which is an outer London Borough. Really good area as a base to travel into and out of the city. You get the best of both worlds with the surrounding greenery and countryside within easy reach and a train into central London within 30 minutes for all the top quality bars and restaurants, theatres, etc
Ronson333
Found this on the Man City forum, they’ve been following him for three years on that board. https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/dominik-szoboszlai.348418/
rebelrouser
I don't care if he goes to Spurs. I just hope Leicester squeeze every penny out of the deal. If they get relegated and sell cheap they have to wonder what if they had sold to us during the winter window for a good price. Nunes to Liverpool heating up. Don't care about that either. Pretty soon the path to some really good young central midfielders will be wide open for us.

Exciting city with loads going on, particularly Manhattan, absolutely class if you have cash, some of the nearby areas (boroughs) are colorful and fun to see with someone who knows their way around. I love visiting for the day/weekend but would never, ever live there. Where are you based? Didn’t realise you were in the States

Oregon_Geordie
Honestly not that arsed over Madison. Rather the Hungarian. Seems similar in style, but has a turn of pace and physicality. For me, Madison is sluggish and not a great athlete - Either way, I trust the process and Wor Eddie and Dan.
