Always liked Tony Cunningham. Can't remember why but I took an instant shine to him. Don't remember him pulling up any trees. I think I just liked the fact that it was a big fuck off to the NF lot.

He lived in Stanley for a while and would go to my local chip shop most nights for his tea

As much as I’m glad the rainbow laces campaign exists and support it I don’t think Gueye should be put in a position where he has to chose between wearing the shirt and playing. If he chooses not to show support for the campaign that’s up to him. He may have religious beliefs against it. Ofcourse his religion doesn’t   Mean his beliefs on gay people are correct but he should have the choice to make that decision.

Also good  on the young lad for having the balls to be one of the first to come out as gay. Hopefully i the next few this will all be a bit meh, and not a big deal.

I don’t, human and equal rights should be above the priory of religious beliefs who have had 2,000 years or more of persecuting and violating the equal rights of others including the LGBTQ community.

If he was against the campaign for reasons like not believing it will help the LBGTQ community and such, I can understand that, but for religious beliefs, nah fuck off.

I would put this case under the right to free speech and free expression, which are human rights. Nobody should be compelled to wear something they don’t want too. This is the only way people of different backgrounds can coexist.

Happy to wear an alcohol and betting company on his shirt despite his religion.

It was jack charlton who used to call Tony Cunningham...blackie Milburn,

and the fans used too sing..

" he's not black

He is broon

He's playing for the toon"

Cunningham became a lawyer after his football finished.

That song first got aired for Howard Gayle - on loan from Liverpool, during KK's first season as a player.

Wonder if NUFC's social media team will put up a message of support as other clubs have done.

Edit: they did, just got washed away by the matchday stuff

Since the sleeping giant known as NUFC has now been awakened, which team is next in line for a big takeover and a rise to the top?

The Knicks.

Valencia Chairman Anil Murthy has got himself into hot water. A spate of leaked audio has painted him and his dealings in a poor light in recent days.

“Liverpool is a s*** city,” says Murthy.

“But Liverpool as a club started to globalise itself 20 years ago to have a budget and now it has one of a billion euros. If you go to Liverpool and Valencia there is a great difference, even in the streets of the city. The industry exists, but the club, it’s a club that is local there, it has its fans, its fan groups, but it is very international.”

“Newcastle is a s*** city too but a club that has a level of patronage…”

I've never been to Valencia but I'm very certain it's a lot more beautiful a city than Liverpool or Newcastle tbf.
