£4.5m IS a cheap option.

Just shows how behind we are in terms of the going rate like, when people are massively disappointed by the ability of players like Manquillo and Joselu. Not even Championship clubs would consider them particularly big signings these days, yet we're relying on them to maintain our Premier league status.

I'm amazed that this sort of thing is classed as racist

As naive as Griezmann.

Blackface is a form of theatrical make-up used predominantly by non-black performers to represent a black person. The practice gained popularity during the 19th century and contributed to the spread of racial stereotypes such as the "happy-go-lucky darky on the plantation" or the "dandified coon". In 1848, blackface minstrel shows were an American national art of the time, translating formal art such as opera into popular terms for a general audience. Early in the 20th century, blackface branched off from the minstrel show and became a form in its own right, until it ended in the United States with the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.

Thats totally different IMO the "Darky" stuff was done to make fun of the supposed lesser intellect of captive slaves, this stuff is purely dress up for the sake of a night out, its no different to two black guys dressing up as thick white women, and they made a crap movie about that, people get offended these days because they think they should not because they are.
