It still makes sense given he's more of a floating forward, rather than an out and out striker. I just think it would have been done by now if it was going ahead. I suppose we might be calling Watford's bluff over the terms, which would explain them trying to drag Everton into the picture, but apparently they are after Brett Brereton in a £12m deal instead, so if no one else steps in, could still happen. St1pe
I still really want us to sign this guy regardless of what else is happening. I don’t see us dropping close to £100m in the last week of the window after so much ffp talk.

gbandit
Get this done as well, essential we get two strikers in and it’s a massive bonus they can both drift wide and deep

SiLvOR
We need him in. Our squad is so shit past the first 11. Have to start addressing that.
gbandit
I’ve emotionally committed to us signing him, would be gutted if we don’t get him in now
Jackie Broon
Yeah, he looks to have huge potential and that he's be a really useful squad player able to play anywhere across the front three or attacking midfield and seems perfect for our high intensity pressing style of play. As much as I'm delighted with Isak I'll be disappointed if he is instead rather than as well as Pedro.
Emotic
Signing him on top of Isak would make sense now, given that Wilson has just broken down within his first three games. I'd be looking to transition Wilson out as a primary striker starting this season.
Shak
I imagine the plan was to sign Isak next summer and we just moved it forward once the Wilson injury happened and our lot came to realize that he is never gonna be dependable. If so, surely Pedro and Isak being in the same squad eventually was the plan so not sure I see why this would be off unless there really is a cash flow or FFP worry. Part of me expects us to just absolutely drop trou and sign Isak, Pedro, Paqueta and Diaby over the next week and just fucking yao face the whole thing. Bruno Paqueta Joelinton Diaby ASM Isak That as the eventual first choice midfield would be the fucking tits. Wilson, Pedro, Almiron and Willock as the non-useless reserves. Fuck it, let's live a little
Mahoneys Tache
I think Willock is going to develop into a great player.

Shame, as I really really like JP. Looking at Whoscored, Isak played mainly as a CF. Pedro seems more from the left?
Kid Icarus
Everything I've seen from Joao Pedro, from watching one match, his highlights, and reading tons of Watford fans comments, he's not a CF and doesn't really play there. Transfermarket says otherwise, but it must be wrong.
Lotus
Would think he can play either the 10 or the right spot in a 4 2 3 1. Bruno with a proper DM next to him. Bob’s your uncle.

Very similar to Isak though in that’s he’s not a typical no. 9 and can be deployed anywhere across the front 3. Hope I’m wrong but they seem too similar for us to be getting both. Yorkie
Quite funny if we get Isak and Pedro. Eight months ago our only available striker was Dwight Gayle.
LFEE
Would it fair to assume it would be Pedro OR Paqueta? Seem like they are both 8/10/False 9.
Mansour
I do not believe that we were in for both of them. Wilson's injury made us reconsider our options. I hope we still go for him since we already agreed on pretty much everything though?
