Is Hope a Newcastle fan? He made some comment about the other day about his kids been Newcastle fans but didn't mention himself.

He used to post on here. He lost his love for the club during the Ashley era iirc.

Wonder who will be negotiating this at our end with no middle management in place. Yasir will make the final call you would think in a deal this big

Doesn't matter, the answer is 'no'. Couldn't be a simpler strategy tbh

About 10 days ago I was giving it both barrels to Liverpool supporter colleague that we gonna keep Isak and also add Ekitike as our owners will show ambition. :(((

To go from here that both could turn out for Liverpool when we meet them in PL in  month is utter fucking sick...

if we do sell him to them, I hope Joelinton puts in the reducers for him in that game at St James Park, followed by Guimaraes arriving a bit late haha.

Could I be way off in thinking this is actually the club wanting to do this really, the reason they're stalling so much on transfers is because they're waiting on Liverpool to tie up all their loose ends, just feels a bit Andy Cole, he later came out saying he didn't want to leave and the club decided, mostly done without even consulting him.

Seems like they tried it not so long ago with Bruno also, flaunting a 100m release clause with deadlines in the hope Man City would bite, its obviously a tad mental to think like this with the champions league season that brings extra games, but maybe they've looked at what we need to get through the season and realised we don't have enough to get the bodies in without the sale of a huge player or your biggest asset, but knowing its going to piss off the fanbase they're keeping him back in the UK away from the press who'll inundate him with questions.

I'm just not sure, even more so after watching Eddie's recent presser and Bruno's reaction.

I guess time will tell.

This is Liverpool doing it again, they will bid and say they only did because we offered encouragement.

Best thing to do is wait for the bid, then PIF come out with a statement saying he’s not for sale under any circumstances. Then these paid for journos won’t be able to spin it any longer without looking like fools.

If they do and we havent then we should say so. Even taking the piss in doing so.

The initial Edwards piece that came out after the news broke that said “not for sale” was essentially dictated by the club. I don’t see why anyone cares whether PIF does a direct statement or not. It’s not like Liverpool’s put out a club statement saying they want him.

So Isak says i want to leave.

We say Liverpool haven't made a bid and we want you to stay.

Simplest.

Unless Liverpool just make a bid without us inviting one.

You’re right and I hope we do but the way the club is at the minute feels like we are at a complete stand still doesn’t fill me with hope.

I know, we need a CEO and Director of Football sorted asap. I'd actually consider bringing back ashworth tbh. He closed the Tonali deal.

I love the irony of this, absolutely brilliant. [emoji38]

So they have been sniffing round Isak for a while, unsettling him, making him basically down tools, supposedly spend 2 hours and 47 minutes on a Zoom call with him. But none of that is underhand, and they won't bid until we give them encouragement [emoji38]  [emoji38]  do me a favour!

They’re a special club. It means more. Other fans don’t understand. They’re being respectful here.

Also, not sure if anyone has mentioned it, if Isak is desperate to get away then the option of handing in a formal transfer request is always there. If he wants to be a cunt about it and cling on for every penny via a 'loyalty' bonus then he can't have any complaints if the club match his attitude and hold out for £Ridiculousm.

The club just needs to hold firm and be strong, go about our business and strengthen the squad accordingly. The Isak situation will resolve itself soon enough

“Dream window”

One of their players died in a car crash three weeks ago ffs.

Aye, awful taste. Basically, all that tweet says is that Liverpool will only bid if we drop our price to £120m, which we’d be utterly mental to do. He needs to go for minimum £150m. Otherwise, he can sort his head out and have another season with us and go for the same price next year

Also Isak is a fucking cunt for doing this.

How hard was it for him to tell the club that he'd be interested in a move but he will carry on doing his job in the meantime?

Hes effectively gone on strike, without having the balls to actually strike.

The biggest cowards thing to do is feign injury during speculation.

He'll still be picking up his wage as well, which is my biggest pet peeve in situations like this

“PIF” in this instance is Jacobo Solis. Solis is an ex-investment banker. He probably sees this as a good deal. If we think Yasser is going to come in and save the day, we’re dreaming. The only decisions he’s making lately have been pitching wedge or 9 iron.

What's a good deal? The only numbers we've heard rumoured so far from Liverpool have been £120m. That's a terrible deal.

Doubling your money on an asset. That’s IB mentality. You saw his cunty behaviour about the Gordon deal. Mandy and Mehrdad had to take the begging bowl for £5m directly to KSA.

By that logic even selling for £90m would be a great deal. These are all speculative scenarios in your own head at the end of the day. Maybe you could be right. I would say probably not.
