For what its worth I think Eddie has handled this situation superbly I'm happy to go with whatever he decides.

Eddie Howe has had to leave the door ajar for potential reintegration whilst also making sure Alex knows he can't act the bairn and there's no repercussions.

Best EH can do with a shit situation and the chance of us finding decent cover actually happening.

idk i just literally don't care anymore.

fuck it make him the best paid reserve player in club history until either his contract runs out or liverpool pay. i'd be more than willing cut off our nose to spite his face.

 it's probably a good thing i'm not in charge of anything important

Yeah, but what if the house is a massive cunt ? And the estate agent is a massive cunt ? And the media all say you deserve the house for £150,000 and the owner should sell to you because you’re so virtuous and worthy

Then you’re in the right and should get the house at the price you offered, regardless of what price the owner wants for it and how much the actual market value is

That’s how it works, isn’t it ?

Knock the fucker down

So much for big bad Saudi as well, btw. Absolute load of kittens. Obviously, they are twats for many reasons, but the way people go on about Al-Rummayan you think he'd be threatening to break Isak's dad's legs over this. A player & his agent seem perfectly fine to take the piss.

Wouldn't be at all shocked if there's some kind of KSA-FSG agreement here. They get Isak for a few years, they then sell him to KSA in line with Vision 2030 or whatever it is.

100% someone on here, can't remember who, nailed a few weeks back, basically saying that the Saudi modus operandi is to enter a sports/entertainment market and throw untold fortunes at whatever their pet project is at the time until the money eventually buys you success. In the PL, you have to be smarter than that and you require a meticulous, strategic road map to circumvent all the potholes and chicanes the cartel have put in the road. Now they know they can't buy their way to the top, they seem to have lost enthusiasm and appetite and care more about bailing out the cartel by buying their flops and paying them obscene fortunes to play in a sterile wank factory of a league in front of crowds that Whitley Bay would be embarrassed of.

Their ambitions far exceed their ability. Look at that ridiculous Neom city they wanted to build for example.

I think giving in and selling him for a cut price is worse than cutting off our nose. It's sticking our dick in a fan and hoping for the best.

What part do the Reubens play in this ?

This entire situation, no matter how it turns out, its down to him. With his actions we want into fight or flight, refused by our top picks and more scrapping for 6 th or 7 th choices. Even if he stays, its fucked us all up. Surely the top prospects, in considering us must think, Hmm. Champions league football at the least, Shiny new trophy; what the hell does he want to leave for? What's going on?

Also, our transfer team are dishevelled. When advising players of the project, Eddie should have been there, with permission. He personally sells all. What should have been a bright, wonderful season is now in salvage and its all down to the way Isak went about it.

Yeah we can’t do this. Dig in and hold ground. There are principles at stake. We weather this one and they will know how we roll, and maybe not waste our  time with the theatrics through the media and deal sensibly!

I think Spurs showed with Kane that temporary solution can work. of course him coming through their ranks was different situations but Kane really wanted to go to City, he had verbal agreement for certain offers with Spurs and Levy didnt care, kept him, then sold him a year later for lesser price abroad which is the main point, they didnt want to see him at league rival.

Kane sulked a bit but then fought for Spurs even in that last season.

Isak is in a year leading up to a WC, also in CL, lot to fight for, and we aint losing too much on his value even next summer. who knows maybe more suitors come to the front especially from abroad (Barca, PSG...)

did he made it clear he wants to leave? maybe. we need to make it clear our situation too which is a fucking shit situation right now and more important than what Isak wants simple as that.

selling him for 130-135 (I cant see Liverpool going higher), spend huge on Jackson who is half of the striker, and bit of liability mentally also off for Afcon for weeks.

it also sends bad message to other players, shows them a way what to do if they want out.

A competent DOF would have prevented all this ages ago, no doubt about it.

Either sewn up a new contract or gentleman’s agreement for next Summer. But as PIF drag their heels on everything, we’re left in the mess we are.

Isak has acted the complete cunt, mind.

Thats fantasy stuff 😂 they could literally just do what City done and bent the rules if they wanted to buy their way to the top. Pay the fines or tie the PL in legal cases.

Kane isn't a massive cunt either mind which helps , he wouldn't have just downed tolls or refused to play or train.

Kane didn't report for pre-season training the summer Man City were interested.

Anybody who knows PIF and understands how they work will know that this is par for the course. They are not business strategists, they are money men. We dont need them to be involved in the day to day of Newcastle United. We need them to hire someone who will do that, and communicate with them our needs on a regular basis. Its not a coincidence that all of the "behind the scenes" turmoil and upheaval started showing itself when Staveley left. She was the one with PIFs ear, she could drive the project forward, and ask them for what we needed. Seems theirs been a void there since, and its contributed to our lack of urgency, and efficiency. My point is, the Saudi's will continue to put their money in, we need someone at the club to tell them when, where, and why.

I really admire how Eddie has handled the situation, but I can’t help feeling like we’re starting to panic with all this talk of potential replacements. It gives the impression that we’re just giving in to Isak. This shouldn’t be complicated — he’s got three years left on his contract, and he should only leave if and when it’s in Newcastle’s best interest.

The NUFC matters guys reckon Peter Silverstone and Eales were instrumental in getting rid of Staveley.

What would a competent DOF have done with Trent and Konate at Liverpool? Is their DOF inept? They've been fucked over by two players. We've only been fucked over by one, who we'll still get a big fee for. On this evidence alone, Liverpool are more inept than us.

Ekitike scored 15 from 22 xG in Bundesliga. City went to the same team and picked Marmoush for less money. Ekitike for that much is a much bigger overpay than Tino or Hall. Noone will say this on Talksport of course because they are all up Liverpool's arse.

No idea if this is a thing, but can players have negative consequences built into their contracts of putting in a transfer request?

Never heard of it myself, but I’m also struggling to see why he hasn’t made this all formal (which probably would have been seen as way more professional than just downing tools and faking an injury)

I believe that if a club accepts a bid without the player asking for a move he gets a loyalty bonus. If he puts in a transfer request he waives any bonus. I think.
