Surely if Isak is trying to force a move, he would already know which move he wants. Are we assuming Liverpool still? I can't see how they have the money.

Of course you can imagine different transfers, but for him to be excluded from the squad for this reason you would expect a specific transfer was in progress. If not then I wouldn't understand why he's not with the squad.

Surely they just take him with them even with injury to keep him in the squad and quash rumours. .

If he’s injured, there’s no logic to it. He’ll be off to get surgery which would be this side of the world not Asia side.

I’d say we’re downplaying it right now because if it comes out he’s out for 3+ months, ANY striker we go for is suddenly top end price because clubs know we are desperate.

We have utterly fucked this window from the moment season ended.

If he's away he's going to the dippers and nowhere else. It's as clear as day.

Naa. Not after signing a striker. They'd need to unload a few. Open door now though for teams to come in for him.

I recon Slot has tapped him up as well as Ekitike - really disappointed in Isak.  I expected better from him - career had flat line a bit until Eddie coached him to a WC striker.

I mean Hall has travelled and he is still injured isn't he?

No, he’s recovered, just may not be up to speed to play a match yet.

Best case scenario at this point I reckon.

Not every injury needs surgery. Most don't.

You.might be right in that he is damaged and we're hiding it.

Nearly as much as me then! What exactly is the Isak situatiuon then? In detail please!

Have you been living under a rock? Read the thread, the press, anything Newcastle. But in short, our star striker seems like he fancies different climes. He definitely hasn't said otherwise. We are going in to a massive season without him likely and at present Will Osula. There's 4 fkn weeks of transfer window and we've signed a winger. A massive opportunity to kick on but we don't. There you go.

Dammed if we do, dammed if we don’t. Say when Isak doesn’t play at Celtic, it’s because he’s had an injury set back and he could be out for a while, it nips all transfer talk in the bud but puts prices up for a striker we want.

Say it’s a minor knock to keep it so it looks like we’re not desperate for a striker, it just adds fuel to likes of Romano to tweet 8 times a day what should be a non-starter of a story.

Evidently it did.

Preseason tours aren’t just about playing. Not joining sends a huge message and my best guess is he is playing hard ball (would say his agent but Alex is in charge in that relationship)  re contract. Can’t see that landing well with Howe et al. Pretty shit if this is the case.
And surely Liverpool given their expenditure to date couldn’t buy him as well as Ekitike, could they?
If not then there’s either another suitor or it is pure spitting the dummy at not being allowed to go and/or a new contract power play. As I said, pretty shit.
