More questions to be asked then, let's hope the highly competent and skilled press pack can make sure we get answers to all the pertinent questions.

Will be played down by Howe with the 'injury'.

But if there is a harmony there, your star player goes out on the commercially driven tour anyway.

Something is off

they said Isak 'wasn't' injured before - just precaution.  So no difference.

Hall was with Isak the other day outside of the main group according to the Geordie journos. Yet one is travelling and the other one isn't going

Not great but bigger picture - we get someone like Sesko, a world class center half and a midfielder and we go into the season a lot deeper than we have been for a while. Isak is brilliant but he’s also streaky and went missing for the last month and a half of last season - there is other players out there.

We have a massive problem paying wages to world class players. Unless we use half of the transfer proceeds to pay them, it’s not likely.

If he wants away, say the price is £200m, then turn down any bid from PL clubs. He's got 3 years left on his contract, the ball is firmly in our court.

I just can’t see anyone paying anywhere near what we want for him and what he’s worth. I’m more worried about him not being fit enough to start the season given how many matches he’s missing

That's my point - just doesn't add up.  It's too much of coincidence not to be linked to him being unhappy.  All Isak needs to do is post on twitter saying 'chill I am not going anywhere'

We can't let him go in the PL. Although I guess we're not really a title challenger so in a way making Liverpool stronger helps us. I just don't want to see him play.

We were arguably a fully fit Isak away from finishing 2nd last season, mind.

Evidently it did.

Still maintain there's no reason for him to stay at home, unless he's genuinely unsettled.

Whichever way you look at it, it's a shambles we're going on our pre-season tour with Osula as our only available striker.

This is great in Theory & I'd love to see it. But Eddie  howe will want him gone and the £200+ in PSR wiggle room (give or take);  to re-invest right now.

Ultimately cutting off nose to spit your face isn't the right approach, even if it gives the player what they want.

I haven't seen any offers of £200m on the table. Liverpool were talking about £120m.
