Of course he is man. This is how the world works.

At this point he has his own agent.

Don’t think clubs pay him, it’s agents imo

I've felt from the start that a lot of this noise could well be instigated by his agent, to help get the best deal they can in contract negotiations with us.

Liverpool have then tried to chance their arm at an enquiry off the back of this.

This could all end with Liverpool looking daft if we can come to an agreement with Isak on a new deal, which would be absolutely hilarious.

It's the specified low ball non-bid that gives it away.

It's an absurd situation if we take what Romano saying as the which would be roughly mocked if it wasn't a cartel club.

So they are making an offer but they aren't making an offer and the offer is only an offer if your willing to sell to us at this none offer price?

That 120 million thing makes no sense at all if you think about it . Liverpool know we won't sell for that and by all accounts have already told them where to go. it's almost as if they are just acting like twats for the sake of it .

I honestly think they're bricking it in case we get Ekitike and keep Isak. They don't want Ekitike as their main striker, whereas he wouldn't be coming here as our main striker. I'll be very surprised if Liverpool bid for Ekitike, it's more likely that either Chelsea (if they get rid of Jackson) or Man U try their luck. It's important we try and seal the deal in the next couple of days or look at other options.

I really dont understand why we would sell for 120 million. We paid 63 million for him, he has been great success and at the moment is our only striker. If we get Ekitike and some alternative backup, that leaves us weaker than last season, with more tough games to come. Bid would have to be enormous for anything to happen. A) I don't think Liverpool have that kind of money, cause neither did Arsenal B) Howe would go mental if this deal goes through, cause we wouldn't get decent options for ST before season starts.

He’s fucking unbearable. Client journalist in the pocket of a few elite clubs and super agents.

Its completely ruined football transfers, just a constant barrage of leaking fees, contract clauses and alleged player ‘unrest’ for the benefit of his paymasters.

Nothing Fabrizio Romano tweets changes reality in any way. Doesn’t impact what Liverpool will bid, what we’ll accept, whether Isak will or won’t want to go. Pointless getting upset by it.

Some sense at last!

Would people rather sell Isak for £150M and sign Ekitike for £80M, or sign Isak up to a new contract and not get Ekitike at all?

New contract for Isak and let Ekitike go.

Isak is proven.

Whoever we recruit this summer (thinking vaguely realistically), we're weaker if we sell Isak. He's the golden ticket.

Keep Isak. We have a decent amount of money to spend on another striker.

If not Ekitike it will be someone else of a very decent level.

I don't understand why Liverpool fans think they're making some power play by threatening that they will go for Ekitike. Fine go for him then!

Keep Isak and new contract. We can't replace world class players.

Keep Isak. One of, if not, the best striker in the world and proven in this league.
