His agent has probably advised him to do what he’s done recently.

The agent and Liverpool IMO. People forget that model pro Van Dijk went on strike to get his Liverpool move. They’re probably trying the same play.

So you reckon he decide to jump the shark on a whim with absolutely zero plan? It sounds implausible to me.

I believe they he and Liverpool knew we either wouldn't sell this summer or the cost would be beyond them so in order to make of happen he'd have to agitate to get us to the table. I think this is where we currently are.

Liverpool are quite relaxed because they know many mugs exist who will happily take the mid they have for Canny fees.

I replied with more detail up thread.

Fundamentally - I do not know. What I do know is the timing and his leverage do not make this a formality.  Harry Kane went on strike with 2 years left on his contract and a gentleman’s agreement that Levy reneged on, no CL football and he had to stay.

As a pure hypothetical, what strike force would people say is better:

A) Isak, Wilson, Osula

B) Sesko, Wissa, Osula

I'm struggling to pick it to be honest.

There's nee way you'd go for anything other than a forward line with Isak in it. The bloke is world class.

It's obvious man, they literally waited for everyone to spend all of the money they have before making this move. No competition means the price is driven down.

This wasn't spontaneous at all.

He might end up staying ultimately our agreement is needed. What we know is he wants to leave and he will be leaving at some point.

Will he play for us this season? Maybe but it's just a matter of time until he goes. Hes literally chosen the nuclear option here.

Do you want him to stay now?

Yep. He's one of the best strikers world football. If and when he's back in our XI, then it'll be because he's in the right frame of mind, he'll have trained well and he'll have the trust of the manager and his team mates. If he has another season for us like his last two, then I'll be over his little tantrum this summer.

Long road ahead for any of the above to happen mind.

What about

C) Isak, Wissa, Osula

Which is still possible.

It's important to remember that we still get to decide if we sell and whom too.

If we enable this behaviour and sell to them we, as a club deserve it.

Liverpool are the only team in for him other than Al Hilal and that’s not happening
