This media campaign has lasted 2 weeks now, and contrary to what every journo would like us to think (with their incessant think pieces about how Isak will fit into Liverpool's starting XI) the fact remains that the closing of the window is fast approaching and there has been fuck all progress. If we miss out on Sesko, I don't see how we can afford to let go of Isak even if our preference would've been to cash in on an unhappy player. The only reason the wheels feel off a bit the next season was due to injuries and lack of squad depth (sound familiar 😬) other wise whose to say we wouldn't have repeated it. It really annoys me that everyone bigs up Liverpool like they are a legacy club. Yes they were in the 80s but they have only won the PL twice and last season was more down to the failings of other clubs like City.
