Injury certainly possible, but the bold bit is why we don't need to worry about him getting his head right for this season if we 1) pay him better 2) give him an out but one that requires him to perform highly. Alex, go be one of the leading scorers in the CL this season and you will get whatever move you want.

That’s exactly how we need to put it to him, go and show how good you are in the league and champions league and get a better move than the bindippers, guarantee he would prefer to play for Barca or Real over Liverpool, over the Scouse vermin.

Liverpool are playing this wonderfully , Bid less then they know we want and unsettle the player 2 weeks before the season starts. If we want to be number 1 its up to us to refuse any contact

I don't think an actual bid is going to unsettle him anymore. They've gone to major lengths with the journos etc to unsettle him already. Isak would know that we would reject a bid of £110m already, of course.

This is about as unhinged as it gets.

 Didn't realise he had his own Youtube channel. Needs to jump on Fiverr or something and find himself a new thumbnail creator.

4) Isak speaks to the team and apologizes for the distraction

 why does everyone always want an apology? I don’t give a fuck if he says sorry, as long as puts in 100% while he’s our player.

"Hello, Al-Rumayyan here."

"Halloooo, Mr. Al-Rumayyan. I call you to tell one important thing."

"Important thing?"

"Yes."

"Tell it now!"

"Ha-ha-ha-ha, Sorry! I won't disclose my name and address to you."

"It's your wish. Now tell me the matter, itself."

"I need Isak. . . . Immediately."

"Isak? This is not a feeder club!"

"I know. I am fully aware of my demand."

"What is the motive behind this demand?"

"Necessity. . . . Necessity for goals."

"I'm not supplying Isak for necessities!"

"So, you are not prepared to give Isak?"

[Nods]"Yes." [Shakes head] "I'm not."

"Mmm . . . I realize that, but it is because you don't have striker or else?"

"Bloody!" [Hangs up]

"HALLO! . . . HALLO! HALLO! [Gansta pose] Ha ha ha. Al-Rumayyaaaan."

Keep seeing everywhere Liverpool will come back because they can afford it, but I don’t think they can. Jumping to £150m from £110m is massive, that’s a CB signing they need there.

Then it’s all the wages, signing fee etc on top. Loading up on near £300m for two players when you take signing on fee and first year wages into account isn’t the smartest business.

Logging off twitter for the evening. Seen Liverpool fans banging on about ‘Article 17’ again.

Insufferable pricks are so deluded

Reminiscent of the ‘Magna Carta’ lunatics during Covid.

Jacobs on a Liverpool podcast saying liverpool had confidence the £110m offer would bring Newcastle to table and have room to go higher but Newcastle refusal to engage made them step back. Nothing new but fuck knows what gave them so much confidence

 appreciate the effort. How many times did you watch the clip to get the exact dialogue?

They’ve bought 2 wingbacks as well haven’t they? Kamikaze football.

Agree, plus Isak deserves a pay rise £300k is what a player like him deserves

This is what makes me feel like it’s over. It wasn’t just a ‘turn down the initial bid’, it was enough to make the papers/tweets and scare them off.

Could be wishful thinking obvs but I like the sound of the refusal.

Yeah I dont think they will come back either. Not with an offer we are going to accept anyways.

Hope the club just tells to put in an offer that matches our asking price within a couple of days or move on.

Hope is getting himself a new car thanks to this Isak saga. Even if he moved, guy would be churning out articles linked to Isak all season.
