It’s widely reported Isak asked not to come on the tour. You are just choosing what you want to believe. As if EH would have choosen not to have Isak on a pre season tour and have the likes of Bruno, Trippier and Burn have to field questions from AFTV of all people why Isak wasn’t there. You are other deluded or Naive He decided to send him home from Celtic so that negates your second paragraph. Try responding without calling people silly names and just argue your point. Tell me why you think Eddie is a cuck who is not in control of what his first team players do.
Vinny Green Balls
Tbh such a derisory bid was too easy for the club. If it was 130-140, then we would have seen what our nuts were made of.
Kid Icarus
4 minutes ago, Bunk Moreland said: "Liverpool have had a £110million bid for Alexander Isak rejected by Newcastle United and, as it stands, do not intend to return with a second offer. It is understood that the Premier League champions believe that to do so would be futile with the North East club valuing Isak at around £150million. Liverpool’s offer fell short of the £120million figure sporting director Richard Hughes had previously indicated to his Newcastle counterparts that they would be prepared to bid. It was, therefore, always likely to fail and it is puzzling why they went in at such a level. The initial assumption was that Liverpool would bid again, but the club later said the swiftness and clarity of Newcastle’s rebuttal meant that to do so would be fruitless. There is a difference between not bidding again and walking away entirely from a long-held interest in a player but, amid the games that are routinely played in the transfer window, it feels like it would need a change of heart from Newcastle to add fresh momentum into matters. That could come if the club manages to bolster its own attacking options." This guy is Liverpool's Ornstein The whole change of heart thing is absolutely insufferable like. The part I don't get is why we didn't also tell them to fuck off when they said they were going to bid 120m.

I didn’t call you a single name Howe also said he was certain Isak would be on the flight to Singapore. No one is saying EH is some kind of cuck. wtf are you on about the irony of you going on about calling people silly names then suggesting EH is a cuck for Isak not going on tour is not at all lost on me Edited August 1, 2025 by gdm

I'm guessing they've been a bit taken aback by how quickly it was rejected and will come back again after the Liverpool (H) game with a better offer. I'm also guessing they're in the process of selling Nunez and will be able to get close to the reported 150m we're apparently after. I think they'll eventually get him tbh. But not anywhere near as cheaply as they were hoping for. I think we'll get every penny of what we're looking for

I keep hearing they're still under PSR by hundreds of millions and they can still raise all this money. Then put the damn money on the table! I don't think they're as keen on him as is being reported. Probably because of the injuries he picks up and how he fades late in games or something or the other. timeEd32
The easiest solution to this problem is: 1) put Isak on a private jet to KSA 2) Sit down with Yasir and Eddie 3) Agree a new contract that provides him a straightforward (but expensive - let's say £115m) out to any non-PL club next summer. Maybe include a wink, wink Saudi League promise if needed. 4) Isak speaks to the team and apologizes for the distraction 5) The fans stand behind him Just make it happen.
