Whatever happens we still hold all the cards and given the way the two parties have behaved publicly we cannot kowtow to any demands, we have to send a message to players, potential players and other clubs that we're not to be messed with and deals will be struck above board and to our liking, we won't be bullied. Personally I wouldn't sell to Liverpool at any price given their actions, next summer and to a team on the continent makes far more sense, financially, professionally and optically.

Couldn't have said it any better

My problem is I don’t see Liverpool raising their bid by that much, they won’t go near £150m IMO. They’ll have too much ego to just meet our price and clearly want to be seen as a big club that can bully non-ESL clubs.

Think again, it’s their problem, not ours

I 100% guarantee that we hear "Isak has reiterated is desire to leave".

Hes only returning to add pressure. Don't think for a second there will be any good intentions. His agent will have instructed him.

He wont train. Make no mistake, he will be gone again within the hour. Its all deliberately trying to put pressure on us.

He will be making it absolutely clear that he wont play for us again.

If you expect positive news, you haven't been paying attention.

Isak FORCED to train alone, as team mates only arrived back in the early hours of this morning

Forced to train alone as the rest of the players are waiting for their luggage, Joelinton is at Greggs, Bruno is just getting his bag.

It depends on our finances. I’ve got big concerns we won’t get a CB and CM. If we buy an Isak replacement but don’t shift Isak, will that be us done for the summer?

Also, just as an indicator of what's going on. Let's see who talks about the private conversation, they are about to have, first?

It wont come from the Newcastle end.

It wouldn't be an issue to just do all of our spending in this financial year and sell him in the next one. It's a 3 year cycle after all.

Obviously involves a degree of risk as if Isak were to get seriously injured the price could be impacted.

Because we usually arrive at a certain time for training as previous seasons?

The squad isnt training today. There's no reason for them to be there unless they were told.

Someone is putting on a show.

If guy wants to move for £150m, Liverpool sure as hell will be telling him to train and get fitness / sharpness up, whilst they work on a deal.

You don't spend that much on a player who then turns up 6+ weeks behind fitness of the rest of your squad, have to play catch up, then get injured doing so.
