We'll never know but I honestly think that if Isak and Liverpool had gone about this professionally and genuinely then he'd already have been signed a few weeks ago. Had Isak just remained professional, got himself fit, went on tour and tried his best then I think Howe would have been reasonable and started to agree a sensible fee. 

 

He's now painted himself into a corner. He's refusing to play, Howe's refusing to let him train with the squad, Liverpool are in the background pretending to do nothing but continually briefing the shills on SM. A completely different approach by those cunts and he's probably already in a red shirt. All they've done is ensure the whole thing is now messy and very expensive as a direct consequence of their cuntishness

Harvey Eliott doing so well as a U21 player, and scoring more goals against PSG than the rest of the Liverpool squad, shows the lad is raring to go when actually given a chance in big games.There is also the elephant in the room of who we can actually convince to come to NUFC. They couldn't because Liverpool have no intentions of paying the going rate. This whole move can only happen if we are destressed into selling cheaper. The fact they paid so much for Wirtz really demonstrates that even 150 is a great deal for a player of Isaks quality.

I'm just suggesting that we'd have been far more willing to negotiate a price as opposed to digging our heels in and rejecting every offer less than what we're after. Had they been reasonable then I think we would have done so to. Now we have no option but to match their energy and play it as hard as possible. Not a penny less than what we're after, all up front, no extras, no clauses etc. Bleed the sly cunts dry

I don't think so honestly for us selling him this summer didn't make sense, still had 3 years left and obviously as we've witnessed replacing him is very difficult. I think this summer was meant to be about sorting out the pressing needs and then we address striker next summer. It's a big reason why we are in such a shambles atm. 

 

What they are willing to pay simply aren't serious offers.

Exactly. Sky Sports have spent the last 18 months telling everyone and their dog that Isak is the best striker in the world, and we won't be able to keep hold of him. All of a sudden, he isn't worth £150m and is overpriced? Both cannot be true.
