Love the idea of this snide cunt throwing a strop because he's stuck here in a world cup year. Too bad so sad put the ball in the fucking net you prick.

Playing in UCL in a World Cup year :(

I get the angle he’s being badly advised.

Sounds like PIF have blocked the move and left it to Howe to act as the peace maker.

Sorry to some, this is fucking music in my ears, exactly what we should react to this shitstorm. Really glad that PIF got it right this time.

I don't think so honestly for us selling him this summer didn't make sense, still had 3 years left and obviously as we've witnessed replacing him is very difficult. I think this summer was meant to be about sorting out the pressing needs and then we address striker next summer. It's a big reason why we are in such a shambles atm.

What they are willing to pay simply aren't serious offers.

It was all hypothetical and I largely agree. That 3 years remaining is our best card in the deal and we do need to sort out the squad. Problem is we'd need an extra striker on top of what we already needed if we're making a stand on isak. Had he not gone on strike it would have been feasible

Yeah I think we were OK to find a back up forward this summer I think we knew we'd need one. We know for certain a centre half was a priority for us this summer yet here we are.

If we take a step back this is canny for Liverpool, worst case is they don't get a world class striker at a cut price. No big deal for them they will manage.

Worst case for Isak is the status quo for 12 months again not earth shattering.

Massive upside for them both if they can force it however.

5/4 on him going to Liverpool feels like printing money at the moment

Everything the club has said and indicated is that we won't be selling him to Liverpool ???

Scouse fans whining on Reddit about us holding him hostage

This started with Romano saying it. The guy is toxic and dangerous. He is like a PR machine for the clubs paying him. With the power he has going out with a statement like that is damaging and very unfair.

I dunno, I think us desperately trying to sign a replacement, Howe's comments about not being able to make him stay, and most of the reports on it indicate we'll sell him, but I hope you're right. Just doing the owld betting against what I want thing.

Most likely all the replacements are now gone so we've decided Isak isn't going.

I'm just sick that we are potentially never going to see one of the best strikers in the world play for us again. Whatever happens he cannot end up at Liverpool and certainly not involving any cast offs from them.

I don’t think Liverpool will get him next summer, if he plays well. If he sulks all year they can buy him but if not they’ll have competition.

you know what?

1. Liverpool are now finding another striker before the deadline. They are also in a little panic mode as they don’t want to have Ekitike as their only striker for this coming season. So once Liverpool got another one, would they really come back next year? I extremely doubt that

2. If he sulks the whole year, why would Liverpool gamble on his fitness and outstanding professionalism?

in either case it’s dead for his dream move.

He's not held hostage, other than to a contract that he signed.

We know in football they're not worth the paper they're written on, but if he seen nufc as a stepping stone then he very much should've reiterated that and allowed us the stronger bargaining tools in the market to get as high a fee as possible.

I don't think £150m is an unreasonable amount, it's not like we are pricing him out of the move entirely.
