Thinking about it. He only had a good middle of the season, his start and end were pretty poor. I had put this down to fitness/injury issues, but maybe this was down to attitude? If it is because of him downing tools, he nearly cost us champions league.

Did Kane not play for a year?

Isak could not play for a year, and then play for a year, and STILL have a year left on his contract and be younger than Kane was.

He needs to put in a formal transfer request, this is effecting our preparation for the new season

I'd keep him regardless out of spite at this stage, as I've already said, but he's a cowardly, money-grubbing little cunt for doing it this way and refusing to put in an official transfer request. Demanding a transfer without actually asking for a transfer, because he knows that will cost him money. It shows what he actually cares about - not playing for Liverpool, but ££££s. That's it. This isn't some "only wants Liverpool" scenario, because if it was he'd have put the official transfer request in to facilitate it. He's just a greedy little cunt.

Club's position should absolutely be "until you put in a transfer request, there's nothing to even discuss".

His agent is banned from Ajax and PSV, and Isak's hometown club AIK after receiving 25% of the fee when they sold him.

Safe to say someone this corrupt being in the spotlight to the tune of a £120m+ transfer fee is always going to turn ugly.

Any man who makes Pardew and Agbonlahor the voices of reason is doing something completely wrong. I'm just waiting for a thread to appear on RTG condemning his behaviour to confirm that we have entered a parallel universe.

I'd be able to salvage a shred of respect for him if he came out with a statement himself rather than hiding in the shadows getting his bum agent to brief the cartel puppets

Fuck him refusing to play for us, I dont want him playing for us and let him anywhere near our squad

So your solution is to reward him and give him everything himself and Liverpool want entirely on their terms?

Brilliant.

Point on the transfer request as mentioned is solid - if he's so desperate to leave, why hasn't he done this? Clearly cares more about not losing his loyalty bonus or burning bridges more than actually leaving. I hope if and when we do entertain a sale, the pre-requisite is for him to hand in a request.

I say call his bluff. Agent a cock but Isak could have the morals and character to say no, or to at least say no to doing it in this way. I'd hope most ordinary and reasonably-minded people watching this will think he's an arsehole.

Next up I'm sure they will start making noises about slavery with insidious attempts to invite readers to draw inferences of racism, but we should hold fast and tell him to act like an adult.

I genuinely cant understand the mentality of anyone who says "get rid" or "let him go" etc.

Do they not realise by giving him what he wants we are just allowing other players to do the same?

Make him stay, his value will hold. Sell him next summer and add a Liverpool tax.

The crucial thing in all of this is making sure we get Wissa. Wissas injury record is good and would probably see us through most of the season. We could even find a loan deal for someone to support him.

My worry is Eddie will ask the owners to sell him just so he stops disrupting the rest of the group which is obviously his ploy.

Sterling did less than this when he moved from Liverpool to us and he was stitched up in the media by Liverpool and booed up and down the country at every ground.

Will Isak get that same treatment by opposing fans if he ends up at Liverpool? I hope so

The Victims are expert at this. It helps having media teams chock full of 80s Liverpool glory supporters to get that sympathetic voice out there.

Eddie's very good at seeing the big picture.  As much as it pisses him, he'll know what happens if we cave.

The squad will be picked apart to the bone like Leverkusen or Southampton back in the day within 12 months.

It's simple Alex, hoy a transfer request in if you want this so much.

No? Didn't think so, you greedy cunt!

100% agree, If he is so adamant on leaving and not playing for us he should hand in a formal transfer request.

As previously said - Isak's agent Vlado Lemic has:

(1) Taken 25% af Isak's transfer fee when sold to Borussia Dortmund

(2) Been banned and excluded by previous clubs he has dealt with - AIK, PSV and Ajax

(3) His previous agency Universal Twenty Two split up because of gun shootings and car explosions by criminal gangs due to their ties with Lemic and/or his coworkers

(4) Has been exposed and been subject to leaks due to tax fraud and reciving illegal sums in tax havens

(5) Has previously been investigated by FIFA

(6) Has ties to Roman Abramovich following his era at Chelsea

Stop blaming his agent.

I don't think anyone is suggesting this is 100% down to Vlado Limic / Universal Twenty Two and Isak has had no say in what's happening

But there's no doubt his agent is a very, very dodgy fucker to the point of him being banned by certain clubs and he'll be orchestrating this alongside Isak

What does even handing in an actual transfer request mean these days? I mean it's hardly a mystery that he wants off [emoji38] Just seems very FM-tastic to me.

He would forfeit money - usually referred to as a loyalty bonus.

I suppose he can go to these at cut-rate if they offer to pay part of these other players' insane wages for the next four years as well [emoji38]

Haha I meant one or two of the players mentioned not all of them Isaks good but he’s not worth that much
