Ideally we buy a replacement; fine Isak every week he's not available; turn every LFC bid down; accept a Saudi bid of £150m on 2 September and offer him a new contract with an option to leave in 2026 abroad. Should be staying or should he go?

The last resort is going to be to turn all of this over to our social media team, who can subtly release their AI-generated video 'What Alexander Isak really thinks of the Hillsborough disaster'.

Just a pic of him reading the Sun will do.

Eddie Howe's plan remains clear, even if Isak begged there's no way he'd play any part in the next two games with lack of pre season.

That's not directed at you gdm but at Romano.

Not quite yet, with some million to one miracle Isak could play for us again.

I think that train has sailed. his camp's comms have left essentially no wriggle room at this point. completely unsalvageable.

So absolutely no new developments, but there’s a content gap that needs filling.

Yeah, there wasn't really a gap for the same twaddle to be recycled tbh, it's nothing we didn't know already.

What is he going to do if Liverpool don't come up with the money? Refuse to play for a year?

So just thinking more on the wait till jan with 1 new striker and Gordon.

Other than what others have said everyone knows summer is better value than Jan which target that hasn't already moved is likely to be more available in Jan than this summer? If there is  no new emerging ideas then what's the point of waiting.

To me it just seems like a stupid idea.
