I mean great but I absolutely do not trust them to get it right

Alexander Isak remains a Newcastle player until June 2028. The club will continue to honour his contract as per all stipulations and clauses contained within. Isak is not for sale unless a fee is agreed and the club expect him to fulfil his obligations according to his legally binding contract. The club will make no further comment on this matter. The fucking end

I'm paraphrasing :)

The statement will say they are disappointed at his comments, point out that he is under contract for 3 more years and that no bid has been received that meets the clubs valuation (or that there has but he turned the move down).

Then end by saying that the manager sees Alex as an integral part of the squad.

its been said by a million online journos we've offered him multiple contracts this summer and he's rejected all of them. Not even sure that is true.

Also, FWIW we probably have all of mitch's emails. we had all of ashworth;s.

Mitchell said no new contract because club had upper hand from lots of years remaining. Why would he give the player a release clause for free via an email?

Hope Mitchell didn’t go because he dropped a boo boo…..

No way to prove it, wouldn't hold up in court.

Yeah, hard to prove. Doesn't make the club any less obligated to honor the agreement legally and morally, and the club would indeed be massive cunts for breaking it.

That doesn't apply if the promise was as reported by BBC about "big club" and "right price" without further clarification of what that actually is.

I really want this to happen, even if it's just to keep pushing his agent's buttons. There's a significant chance that he might overstep the line at some point.

But also it's reasonable if one director has now left, you say in the summer when resuming contract talks this guy promised me x. So I want that factored in, that extra amount I would have earned last year, into the signing on fee or as extra wages in your negotiation. Im sure the club would be reasonable. Not sure even Anelka would have done what this guy has done

Liverpool must be laughing their fucking tits off here.

They've done him and his agent up like and absolute kipper here.

Isak surely has to be questioning why they signed Ekitike but could only muster one offer well below our valuation for him [emoji38]

I don't think we've seen a player/player's management handle a situation so badly, like. Club being a vacuum at the top isn't a good look, but Isak just looks shit AND stupid.

don’t really buy this. Doesn’t make sense that the club wouldn’t offer him a new deal after they gave Bruno, Gordon, Joelinton pay rises.

They have.

Hes using the contract stuff as his excuse.

He could have a new contract today if he wanted one.

You should release a statement saying, "If the club that wants you hadn't signed your replacement this could have been sorted. Sounds like they don't want you as much as you believe....'
