I'm now strongly of the opinion that he has a 3 year hiatus and sits it out until June 2028. Fuck him.

I know that's cutting noses off to spite faces and all that but that's honestly where I am with him. His actions are harming the club and there needs to be a punishment

I'm convinced of it - no way we're selling to Liverpool.  Yasir saw for himself how unpopular a decision that would be

Plus the club owners can't act like fans. They have to safeguard the club assets and try to get CL football. They would get destroyed for saying let's play Osula and finish 9th instead.

He'll have to single handedly win us a cup/the league for me to forgive him tbh. Even then.

Don't think he deserves to be forgiven, but if we can, we should definitely let him do his best without any abuse (but no praise or cheering either) to secure himself a move and us a great fee next summer.

Yeap, call it a truce and then move him on when it suits us.

I am convinced he will be back as well but when he does leave his legacy is already dead. Don't think there will be as much (if any) Sweden/Eriteria flags anymore. Certainly no Isak tifos.

Years down the line he will be seen in the same way as an Andy Cole at best when this guy had all the makings of being another Shearer for us.

I personally thought we had one more season out of him until he moves on, seems like he doesn't see it that way and wanted to leave even sooner. The way he has gone on about it though has been nothing short of an absolute disgrace.

Clubs may be telling us that their strikers are not for sale (e.g., Larsen) cause they don't have time to find a replacement. We could offer them Isak on loan for a season.

Are you alright in the head?

It's been said before but he is basically Remy now.

Could and should have been a legend but will not feature in a NUFC top 5 premier league striker discussion in 5 years time unless there is the mother of all redemptions

At the end of the day, it can still be a mutually beneficial arrangement. Not every player can be like Bruno, it's ok if some relationships are more transactional for a short period.

I think Isak has revealed a lot about what motivates him most which we could use to our advantage. Fairly, massively important we actually get in a decent Wilson replacement in though.

Personally, I'd leverage him to get what we need and fuck him over next summer to teach the ultimate lesson [emoji38]

I totally get why plenty are saying they never want to see him play for us again, the two performances just further highlight how much he has let the players, the manager and the fans down

However for me the biggest feeling is that we can't sell him to Liverpool, no matter the offer

Whilst I don't want him playing for us again but if that's the trade off for him not joining them then I'll begrudgingly accept it

A necessary evil if you like until we can move him on abroad and in a manner that benefits us

He's still there with Shearer as the best I've seen, even if he has shown himself to be a massive cunt

The horrible reality is that we’re almost certainly going to need him, so we’re almost certainly going to have to entice him to do what he already agreed to by paying him more in return for doing nothing and making choices which would (somewhere between feasibly and obviously) undermine both our preparations for and start of a massive season.

It’s now time for cooler and pragmatic heads to prevail, but no fan is going to forget this situation where we outplayed the champions he twerked at and he was sat at home behaving like an adolescent who didn’t get the toy he expected for Christmas.

To throw a further sickener in, if he does come back it actively undermines the rest of the team who have been everything we’ve come to expect and more, so realistically we’re going to have to get behind him.

If there is a reasonable and morally conscious human being in there, then at this moment in time at some level he must be feeling guilty and ashamed. To skidmark what should be one of your life’s greatest memories is so, so unnecessary and sad.

This is the “product” for which we all pay through the nose and on which so many people’s active happiness seemingly depends. I say this as someone irretrievably obsessed with it but there is so much of it that isn’t sporting or about real sporting endeavour that it sometimes takes unrealistic amounts of cognitive dissonance to believe in it. In the same way that politicians don’t hide the cheating anymore, nor do the PL/UEFA/FIFA/cartel.

Cheers, bellend.

Loan him out to some miserable shit hole football club in Russia for three years

Not possible to do so lawfully, for all those who keep suggesting a Turkish/Saudi/Russian exile.

If exile is our choice then it’s keeping registration but isolating and not playing.

Speaking of "distorting the market", I kept beating the drum of how if Florian Wirtz cost 116.5 million, then Isak is easily 150million to Liverpool. After watching the match, I've changed my mind.

If Florian Wirtz is 116.5 million pounds, Isak is 200 million. Liverpool have already distorted their own market, the fools.

Slightly contradictory if it looks like he's staying but it's untenable for him to stay without signing a new deal. Can't see how those can both be true, we can't force him to sign a new deal.
