My other take on this is that the board have really got to come up trumps with deadline day incomings for Eddie today, otherwise they have left him up the creek without a paddle in my opinion.

 

So it places more pressure on them to deliver today as we cannot just let Isak go and have no-one come in, we still need 2 or 3 in my opinion.

that's why I edited my post. But I'd be very surprised if he refused to play for a season in a world cup year. It could be well down to the players absolutely despising the cunt though. I'd still be skeptical that there wasn't a way back from that on a temporary basis once the window shut and the douchebag was stuck here.

Think playing 60-70 minutes a game will suit Isak. He’s pretty useless after 70 minutes unless there’s a penalty to be taken which he won’t get at Liverpool.

But then you're at the point where we're playing for £15m or so on a fee with the possibility of him holding out. Something happened during that meeting that changes the scenario completely.

I can see him not being as successful at Liverpool. He relied heavily on Murphy who provided eight assists for Isaks Premier League goals last season, and then there is Gordon's and Barnes' assists. 

 

Liverpool do not play that game of early crosses for the main man with Salah and Gakpo who both play out wide for themselves to cut in to shoot. 

 

Clutching at straws as I've never wanted a player to fail as much. Isak personally by his actions took £25m off his price tag and our weak management never fined him a weeks wage in doing so.

I’m down on the club for the way they’ve handled this but the one credit is getting the treacherous cunt to forgo the ridiculous concept of a loyalty bonus. That covers the wages and some.

Remember - this is all strategically planned and executed by Eddie's buddies from the south - Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes. Tapped him up, agreed terms with the player and carried the whole plan out perfectly.

I know there's a lot of anger towards PIF for caving in at 130m and appearing weak. I'm not going to argue against any fans who feel that way or stick up for the ownership, but I will say that I think a lot of people are underestimating just how much influenced Eddie and the squad have had. It seems they shut down any notion of reintegration which is their absolute right and the idea of PIF having a 9 figure asset rotting in the reserves is fanciful at best, as satisfying as the idea of it is.

I don't see how it does since the window hadn't shut. Other huge players were compelled to stay after throwing tantrums. Plenty of precedent for getting the players to continue to play for the club for at least a season. Is this so remarkably different from them? Suarez is the biggest douche in football history and Liverpool squeezed another 30 goals out of him.
