We didn’t scam them, the price was right, they just didn’t need him and might not be set up to maximise what he can do.

I have a user there, so I can see his posting history. That's how I know. New user, knows way too much about us (and is way too positive about us), and all his posts are Isak shit talk. Even from the time when they first signed him and he hadn't played yet. [emoji38]

Isak will come good for them in time - unfortunately.

Raises a wee smile to see him struggling a bit though. What goes around, comes around.

Unbelievably, they've lost every game he's started, bar the cup game against Championship Southampton, which Ekitike had to come on to score the winning goal in. The Southampton game is also the only game he's scored the one goal in.

It's been an unimaginably bad start. Especially bad because he's come into the team ahead of the guy that had been their best player to start the season in Ekitike, when they won their first 5 games.

The way Ekitike started so well for them makes the situation incredibly dicey for Isak. Their fans are already starting to complain that they shouldn't have gone for him after landing Ekitike and with how well he was doing.

The pressure is going to be unbelievable and I'm here for it

Oh boy.[emoji38] Yeah, I wonder how the prices went crazy.. Maybe because certain clubs caused the inflation? They go on about how we are all about money, while they complain about how it's harder to have 100m+ signings dominate teams by themselves these days. "I miss the days where you could just buy a record signing and use it to beat everyone. Organically, ofcourse."[emoji38]

Genuinely never heard of a 50, 60, 80 or 100m player needing another player of "similar price to get the best out of them". Where has he heard that from multiple times? I've never heard it once.

Some Liverpool fans still making out he’s not fit cos he’s not had a preseason he’s played 10 games of football if he’s not fit by now that’s on Liverpool and their staff

If he can play 60 minutes, he's as fit as he ever was for us.

If they're expecting him to get to a level where he'll be sprinting after low odds balls in the 89th minute, they've not done their homework.

Yep, it's gone beyond the point of being a plausible reason and it's nothing more than an excuse now.  His form might be suffering because of the disjointed pre-season and his poor start there, but there's no way that he isn't match fit now.

I commented on it and multiple others commented on it too that it wasn’t going to work smoothly having Isak, Salah and Ekitike in the team. As it’s turned out the latter is far and away the best of the three but their manager won’t play him over either of them

Might feel like he doesn't have a choice soon if he wants to prioritise winning games.

4 losses in a row.

Think they said on comms they haven't lost 5 in a row since the 50s or something.

Liverpool should have moved on Salah at the end of last season. Let him go out as a hero, his drop off after the new year was pretty stark so it’s not like they didn’t have any warning.

Wirtz could then consistently play where he did at Leverkusen and they would have had the dollar & wages to plug their CB issues.

1953 I think it was. Dickheads R’Us in a real spot of bother at the moment. Wonder who will take the hit to accommodate Ekitike. Got dressing room disaster written all over it with Van Dijk failing, issues at LB, Szob playing at RB. Whole thing’s a shambles. Spent £450m and their backline’s a mess

Completely agree. Salah is just a shadow of his former self.

gloriously if they had concentrated on Guehi rather than Isak they’d be in a far better position
