Has he burnt his bridges with us ?

Until we get two replacements of the necessary quality, and only then if Liverpool match our full value, then the simple answer is no for this season anyway. We cannot let players and clubs fuck us about with any player contracted to us.

I'm glad a lot of you aren't in charge of the squad, bin Isak off, he's burnt his bridges, don't want him here, just get rid?!? Why would we kibosh an entire season because of one player and a rival club? Madness.

Idc what kind of mood he's in, we get 2 strikers in and he can go if we get a big enough fee, anything else he stays.

DCL and Wissa are also both 28, i really cant see us signing two players of that profile

I don’t think you realise how desperate we are getting

I don’t give a fuck about Isak anymore as long as we get a big enough fee. I’m more frustrated and concerned about what we will actually get through the door, both in quality as well as in numbers.

I’d be surprised if we sign anyone else at all tbh.

Nunez going to Al Hilal - am really getting sick of PIF.  Clearly Liverpool are confident of signing Isak then.

I'd be extremely surprised if the same people running the Saudi league has anything to do with the people following up us, and even more surprised if they acutally talk and collaborate together to align strategies between the two. PIF is just too big of a beast. I imagine the people running Al Halal or Bin Tittifad doesn't give a flying fuck if a player they want means a competitor of NUFC would get rid of a player they don't want and enables them to weaken NUFC.

I don't think that's unreasonable either.

imo he has to start vs Villa if still here. us going into that game with Gordon or Osula upfront is what Emery wants to happen.

I do think tho this injury/separate training scam is just a way for him to miss as much pre season game with us as he can,  mean Celtic, full Asia tour and now last two friendlies this week he missing all. he doesnt want a groin injury to scupper the transfer probably.

why do I have the feeling if we sell him to Liverpool tomorrow he will be fully fit for their PL opener on Friday next week?

but if he stays he is a risk for the Villa game, ffs.

we need a striker in before Villa game. at the least PIF should hire a DoF for two weeks LOL, fucking Txiki Begiristain left City, surely we can hire him just for his contacts for 2 weeks advisory role to make some phone calls, ad help us to pick a striker that doesnt end up at big fat shit 6 clubs after weeks of negotiations.

letting Wilson go while we struggle so much to get any striker in, this is a joke.

Hopefully a large part of the meeting with Isak (and presumably his agent) is us making absolutely clear what our position is - whether that is "not for sale" or a specific price - and that if he is still a Newcastle player on 1st September we are 100% willing to pay him to play for and train with the U21s for three years if he doesn't apply himself. See how many clubs are lining up to pay him £300k/week in 2029. That needs to come from the very top, horse's mouth.

Take away his only real negotiating position.

Keeping Wilson for another year would have been incredibly stupid. I'm shocked we didn't do it.

Ornstein and Romano are taking payments from Isak's agent so it's a bit daft to get worked up over their opinion. They can say his chapter is over but he's got 3 years left here and we haven't received a close to sensible offer all window [emoji38]

In the next 9 days we would need Brentford to sign a striker, which doesn’t seem close to happening, and us to sign Wissa.
