If the Bournemouth game gets canned then it's an absolute farce. Especially for their lot, having to come up here midweek in January or February. Means there won't be another game until 1st October and no home game until 8th October.  Absolute state of it.

If they cancelled this weekend they're definitely going to cancel next weekend too I think.

Eurrgh....yes it's sad, but cancelling everything is a proper North Korea move.

Probably does benefit us in terms of getting players fit, but cancelling matches isn't going to bring her back, and the average match going fan in all likelihood cares more about seeing football than being forced to grieve.

Am apathetic towards the Royals, but we'll probably get a day off or two for the funeral, and probably a new bank holiday next year.  Fully aware that this sounds cold

Nothing to do with police apparently. Is it too cynical to think that this weekend is between 2 rounds of ECL ?

Fuck all to do with that. The people making the decisions are well and truly out of touch. It’s that simple really

It's enforced misery for the people that wanted to kick back and enjoy some football this weekend.

The hand wringers will be delighted that they've forced us all to have a less enjoyable weekend now too.

Classic case of misery loves company. They can't bare the thought of being miserable all weekend, while some people don't share that same level of sentiment.

There is definitely a large part of the country that love to tell people what they should and shouldn't be doing at all times who are loving it.

It's not even people not sharing the same sentiment- there are a lot of people who would have wanted to go to the game to show respects this weekend who have now been told they can't.

I'm pretty certain this had a huge part to play. The 'top 6' have their grubby hands all over this.

Don't believe for a second the Premier League have done this 'As a mark of respect ...'

Especially not after what the government came out and stated about not having to cancel the games.

What a crock of shit. I'll have to spend time with my family now. Thanks Queen.

Just cancel them, tell them you’re in mourning!

Yeah, that's a fair point.
