What was the score when he did this? Ridiculous confidence to even attempt it, because if it doesn't come off, it'd look terrible

Fucking love Bruno soo much though, we're at Ben Arfa levels now and could go even higher. Just absolutely love his way of playing football, it's how I would want to be able to play if I had any sort of talent.

He’s already way better than Ben Arfa.

I think it was 0-0.

I really don't get this bollocks.

Brentford’s penalty accounts for 0.76 of their xG. Can be an interesting stat but all that really tells us when taken in isolation, is that we created chances but scored more goals from lower percentage opportunities. Bruno’s goals will have been low xG and the own goal wouldn’t have counted for much if anything towards it.

Can't comprehend or fully articulate the pride I have now in watching us play.

And it's not because we win 4-1, 5-1 or hold Man City to a draw. It's not the result. I was proud after losing 2-1 to Liverpool (after my anger subsided).

Because it's not the result that matters... It's having a club that tries. It's knowing that whatever XI Eddie currently picks, they're going out there aiming to win.

We attacked City. We attacked Liverpool.

I'm in love with the club again.

An own goal and two mistakes by Brentford sort of means we only really created two of the goals ourselves (Bruno's?).

And nothing we did, all match, contributed hugely to the very pressurised Brentford defence mistakes then?

I actually don't mind Ando now that we're good

Just seems dated. Like him saying he doesn't understand why they tried to play out from the back when they've done it for years.

Raistrick could go far but I've never heard him as an impartial commentator yet.

Feel Trippier has been outstanding these last few games and maybe isn't getting as much credit as others.

He's gone down a few times the last few games, he's going to be playing so many games in the next couple of months we're a bit fucked if he gets injured. Manq has barely been seen and not sure how comfortable I'd be with Targett or Murphy playing there

Manquillo could be a bargain for a newly promoted side.

Great day. Lovely to see the town buzzing before and after the match.

Thought Brentford have been the best team up here apart from Man City of course. They started really well and you could tell it was going to be a hard game when Botman lost his first two aerial duels. They deservedly took the lead and although they are the rules personally it’s a goal that should really stand. The key was us scoring immediately after the wake-up call and then forcing the error for a quick fire second. We then had a scrappy last 5mins and did well to make it to HT.

Second half Brentford started well again with little to lose and getting I thought a fortunate penalty but again they are the new rules. The key again was responding quickly getting the third and after that Brentford slowly lost a little believe.

Just shows how important a bit of the rub of the green is needed in football. Counting the days already for Sunday. Hope we turn up at Old Trafford for once.

PS I even made the start of MOTD when team news was given holding the surfers top corner ?
