Not for me, looked quite soft.

He stands on his foot, this is why players go down easily because they get fuck all if they try and stay up. 2 stonewall pens not given and could cost a manager his job. Well done PGMOL

I'm just going off this new referees call shit, which to me is basically if it's a soft foul they don't get given.

Not denying I'd be fuming if it was against us.

Amount of empty seats now is mental in such a big game for West Ham. Half the crowd have fucked off!

Indicative of how much of an absolute twat it is to get away from that ground.

I certainly don’t ever advocate leaving a game early, but queuing outside a shopping centre to get a train at 10pm on a Monday night in the bastard freezing cold is not where it’s at.

So the under-fire Lopetegui is now just 2 points behind Howe, having taken 4 extra points from their respective last 4 games.

It's a marathon not a sprint.

The hare and the tortoise.

Etc,etc. 😄

Lemina had a full head loss at the end of the game  What was all that about?  Had some weird handshake with Bowen, then they started wrestling.  Before he then started trying to fight everyone on the pitch.

Yet again, it feels like the level of officiating has gotten worse since VAR and the on-field refs seem even more unsure of themselves.  Leave any decision to VAR, as you know if it's a blatant error it will be overturned.  Yet quite blatant fouls, red cards, penalties etc are getting checked and cleared almost instantly.  All because of this new directive from Howard Webb?

So what are we left with?  A system that clearly isn't working.  We don't want it constantly re-refereeing games and over-analyzing every decision.  But it would also be nice if the refs went back to making some decisions themselves and also when they don't or perhaps they miss something. VAR is seen as something that assists them and it not being seen as undermining referees when intervening.

In the last week alone, off the top of my head from games I've watched and can remember.  We have seen what is IMO a clear pen on Isak, a clear pen/red card for VVD on Gordon, a red card for Kulusevski, the two penalties last night that weren't given.  Seems the general consensus amongst fans, ex-pros and pundits alike are that all of the above were the wrong call from VAR.  They are clear and obvious errors, so call them out as such.

Disgraceful soft VAR pen given to the wall pushers.

Salah inevitably scores it.

It's the same shite.  Whenever they are finding it hard let's give them a pen 🤣

Dont think this is true mind. The new directive means VAR is going with the referees decision if they saw it 95% of the time. Even when the decision is wrong.

In the PL anyway. Don’t know what they are doing in the CL. Vini got kicked in the box no foul so dunno.
