Mackems will find a way to win this no doubt.

Leeds have been great though, came back from a goal behind and look like winning it, never thought I’d be jealous of 2025 Leeds

Goalie looks weak. And Adingra is toasting the fullback.  But aye they’ve played well.  Dominated Sunderland for most of this game

Quite ironic really cos most of their fans would have happily seen the manager leave in the summer and again 3 or 4 weeks ago...

Still time for them to concede but saw the following from .com’s report of Friday;

“Since Alexander Isak's penalty in a 1-1 draw at Brighton in May, United have failed to recover from going behind in any league or cup game to win or draw. This was their eleventh failed attempt.”

CL not count? Leverkusen was 1-0 down and got to 2-1 up before the customary late goal for the opposition.

They sold Grealish 6 years ago man. That PSR profit has been written offf for years.

I respected their gamble last January.  It almost worked.  When they were in PSR trouble they got Maatsen in a dodgy deal last season.

Ashworth had 2 plans to avoid FFP issues one of which was closed after he left.  Staveley and co. weren’t perfect and June 2024 was a shitshow and a mess. But they (along with Ashworth, Howe etc) still built the squad that got us Isak, Tonali, Bruno etc. They wanted Emery then got us Howe. They convinced PIF to buy the club ffs.  They got Ashworth. They convinced PIF to open the cheque book and sign Isak - convinced Isak to sign. Tonali, Bruno, Trippier.  They extended Tonali and Bruno.

Since they left we’ve had 1 major re-signature in Gordon. maybe 1 signing that’s been considered a coup - routinely failing to land high reputation players going back to Marc Guehi 2024.

Im not having a bad week.  I’ve said this all summer and most of last season too. I’m bringing it up again now because all the attention is on Eddie Howe when it should be on the owners.  We aren’t midtable because of an underperforming coach(Eddie has made mistakes).  We are midtable because of rudderless leadership since July 2024 at the latest. It’s caught up.

It’s not a change of opinion or being emotional.  I said in September i would have no issues with this squad finishing 8th.  The squad isn’t good enough to compete in CL and be meaningfully better than most teams in this division

Regardless when it was helped kick start their project which is what I stated.

Almost worked meant it didn’t work and failed.

Ashworth stuff you’ve just made up.

Since they left we had no PSR headroom.

All the sensible fans knew this season could be a transitional one especially with what happened over the summer. Stop typing man and have a lie down

Am I imagining it or have they cut right back on stoppage time?

Yeah I was thinking that. The ten and twelve minutes we were seeing a couple of seasons ago were fucking stupid mind, so I don't mind

First time I’ve seen the league chebble in a while, West Ham could go couldn’t they? 7 points adrift and they’re absolutely shite. Forest also, what a fall they’ve had.

Will be Burnley, Wolves and one other - hopefully West Ham

A few weeks ago West Ham were in 17th on 15 points from 15 games in the live league table heading into injury time in their match with Brighton, they conceded in stoppage time, drew, and then have lost their last 3 so are currently on 13 points from 18 games and looking a bit adrift (5 behind Forest in 17th).

It is looking like Wolves (defo) and Burnley and one other. 3 games ago Fulham were looking not great, but 3 wins in a row and they are now only 3 points off 5th, and while West Ham don't look great, them putting together a similar run isn't totally beyond the realms which could make some of those above them a little wary.
