You do have to wonder what the future is likely to hold for the game. From the PSR farce to cartel tapping up, from bent refs and rub of the VAR green, we're surely not a million miles away from fans turning off the game.

At times it’s easier to understand the PL as more like WWE than an actual sport.

Such a shame because there’s no reason (except elite incompetence and greed) that it couldn’t the most authentic and most exciting league in the world without any of this nonsense.

I think it’s more incompetent than corrupt TBH. The video just creates more opportunities for officials to be absolute idiots and make themselves feel better by giving extremely nit-picky decisions.

Don't know like.  When incompetence almost always goes one way it's surely corruption.

The game has evolved so much and it gets better and better (in some ways).

Yet the standard of officiating is at an all time low. I think VAR has made them worse and all. As they regularly bottle big decisions hoping they’ll get bailed out.

Then the whole charade of being sent to the monitor. When it is basically 3 people saying “have a look mate. You got that one wrong.”

Why are they trying to ruin football year after year with all this shit.

Maybe, it certainly creates more space for more misjudgements to be made and those are likely to run along the lines of any bias the officials have, even if it’s unconscious.

Were by far the better team Fulham. Scored a lovely goal and go in 1:0 down.

Feel for them after last week's nonsense aswell. Really does have that feeling already this season of any goal against the cartel clubs they will find something to disallow.

I've said this million times but VAR could be so easily fixed with some fundamental changes. It's mind-boggling how this version is now the established one despite fans, managers and players being furious with it every week.
