The Premier League opted for a deal with Puma who have no real history of making footballs for elite leagues, which resulted in them having to use a rather untested method for semi-automated offside which includes 100 iPhones positioned at different locations, which never ever seems to be exactly on the goal line, and needs VAR to verify it.
