Looking at their team against Palace and there isn’t a singel player in that squad i would want at our club.

An away game in PL will always be tough but with the form we’re in we should beat this lot.

Ward-Prowse? Think he'd be good in a midfield three with Bruno and Joelinton. We also saw the dip when Bruno missed those few games earlier in the season, someone like him would be great to still have in there when Bruno is out.

Free-Kick options for days with Trips and JWP in the team

I have never seen the hype for Ward-Prowse tbh. Fantastic free kicks but not much more imo. 28 now and never got a move to a bigger club. Must be a reason.

Prefer having one set piece specialist in the side so it doesn’t get political over who takes them and create any division. Everyone knows Trippier’s dead ball delivery is way ahead of anyone else in the team and way ahead of most team’s options in the league

If anything I think JWPs is hard done by because everyone thinks he is merely a free kick specialist. He's actually an excellent footballer but I think the chance of him leaving Southampton has been and gone.

Fair play to him too. He's playing for the club he loves and will be a legend there.

At the start of the season, I had Hassenhutl pegged as the first to be sacked. I honestly think he's terrible, how he keeps finding a purple patch is beyond me. Their squad is largely shite, with a few decent young players.

Their biggest asset is their capability of turning up at home. For whatever reason, from time to time, they manage to put in some decent home performances.

I think they need to turn out the mother of all performances to get a win against us but it is the PL and every side is capable of a good game.

I'm generally reserved on whether I think we will win but I will go 0-2.

The one Saints player I was super impressed with when we played them last time was Walker-Peters. Would be a really solid signing full back option for us to play on both sides tbh.

Not sure about this game as Southampton can at times look decent (Arsenal and Chelsea), but mainly look poor. If we play to our current form, I'm pretty confident we will win. I like Joelington's physical presence in midfield for away games and we will miss that. Still nervous about games like this even with our form in the last year.

I really like JWP, good player.

I’d say Southampton are worse than Villa on paper, albeit in a better overall situation. Hopefully we can completely stop their attack and get a couple of goals of our own.

Aye, people say he's over-rated because he has a helluva free-kick but it's the opposite to me. I think quite a few people see him as just a free-kick taker when he's a very good player outside of that.

This could be their customary 9-0 loss of the season. Get a goal within the first 10 minutes and we can smash a few past them.

They are going to be struggling in the bottom 6 all season, this is another we need to be winning if we want to finish inside the top 6.

Agree tbf. Good thing he's out of this one for them.
