Hope I can remember that by the time the next pre match pub comes round.

Checked up the first 2 Seasons of the Football League, they finished bottom both seasons with respective GD of -25 & -42. Never stood a chance really, poor sods. Yorkie
Of all the competitions to have a fixture or two in America it might as well be that one. There's very little that's sacred about the Champions League and it's not grounded in any one location, unless you count 'Europe' as one location. I'm sure the fans of Real Madrid could stomach having to give one final a miss. Any domestic competition and it's another story imo.

Rafalove
Don’t have too much of a problem with the final being held in the u.s as it’s at a neutral ground anyway. All previous stages should be held at the grounds of the teams playing. one of the reasons the champions league is so great is because of the big atmosphere’s created. If you go to the U.S you will lose that.
geordie_b
Hypothetically if the first CL Final we made it to was in the US (East coast) how many of our fans do you think would make the trip?

Smal
Imagine for a second we were good enough in 2033 and made the CL final for the first time and it was hosted there. Edited February 12 by Smal
ramirez
New York wouldn’t be that much worse than Istanbul, sure it’s been in Moscow and Kiev previously too although obviously won’t be again anytime soon.
toon25
Fixtures over there will happen sooner rather than later given the growing number of American-owned clubs in European leagues, unfortunately.
WilliamPS
If it leaves Europe once it’ll never return, it’ll end up in the Middle East

Sima
Is anyone still tracking the league champion where it was treated like a boxing championship? I remember it was a thing a couple of years back on here but not sure if it’s still being monitored or who was doing it. TheBrownBottle
Honestly, can't they just fuck right off with this shite? It's the European Cup Final ffs. Don't CONCACAF have a continental cup of their own? Just fuck the fuck off. 3 hours ago, ramirez said: New York wouldn’t be that much worse than Istanbul, sure it’s been in Moscow and Kiev previously too although obviously won’t be again anytime soon. Other than the whole Moscow, Kiev and (part of) Istanbul being in Europe you mean - and them being a couple of hours away by plane from western Europe rather than nearly half a day away?
