Get well soon, John. Was past his best when he came to us, but he did his bit.

Yeah. Could still see he had class. He was Liverpool's best player in the Andy Cole 3-0 after he came on and was finished then.

Don’t quite remember him as a footballer. But just thought I’d mention we had a player Billy Whitehurst who was even scarier.

Bumped into him and his wife wandering through the Bigg Market back in the day. Well, thankfully, no literal ‘bumping into’ was involved; man had a presence (and was walking with clenched fists and as if he had a roll of carpet under each arm).
As another glimpse into my fascinating life, bumped into Kyle Walker yesterday at Trafford Centre, he was with wife and multitude of kids; no ‘arm carpets’ but did look at me with oddly threatening expression, as if he was sucking a lemon.

Burnsie back on X. Bought out the account of Surf Cafe Tynemouth, laid low for a while, renamed it, now on his full time faux aggregator grind.

Indefatigable. Almost respect the hustle

why did he always score the most ridiculous goals

He may not have been a truly great goalscorer at the end of the day, but my word was he a scorer of great goals.

Will next season be the first one in the Premier League era with no club beginning with the letter W?

The Newcastle fan in work says he'd sell everyone except Lewis Hall. I asked even Bruno G and he said aye.

He said if Hall was to be sold he'd be raging if it was for any less than £80-90m.

Keegan, Dalglish and now Barnes. Jesus.

I know they’re all at that age now, but it’s still rough. Good luck to all.

Read somewhere it was the first one for something stupid like over 100 years.

Edit: can’t find where I read it, but there’s a suggestion it’s the first top flight in English football ever without a ‘W’ team.
