Isn't it a typo too though? I mean as I'm in my 50s and used to watch Dick Emery I worked it out, but I think they must have had our former Turkish midfielder on their minds when they typed it?

I see that Simon Bird from the Mirror that covers North East sport has been made redundant, shame that I always liked him.

I remember 2 goals from him and then him leaving and didier zokora actually lifting him off the ground with a kick to the groin for being a racist little shit :lol: :lol:

Any particular reason, or is this an example of the media dying and needing to get rid of people.

It's strange as he really sticks in my memory when it comes to NUFC footballers of yesteryear yet Wiki says he managed just 58 appearances in three years. I remember him being injured a lot but could've sworn we got 5 or 6 years from him. Maybe it's just that it coincided with proper formative years for me as a teenager.

Would probably be one of my wild card cult favourites but for consistently being a racist prick. :lol:

Not sure I just read his Twitter post and has had a lot of the North East Journalists praising him

Always found Bird’s work was undermined by the cunty clickbait headlines The Mirror used to force on his articles.

Politely disagree on this fella. The football pyramid and the stories it has created over 150 years shits all over the manufactured closed leagues in US sport. The only thing that needs rolling back is PSR, otherwise we’ll keep the British model.

I dunno why but I've been following Plymouth's results all season to see what way Rooney is getting on. Its actually mental how bad a manager he is. I know Plymouth are shite and would probably be down the bottom of the table anyway but they really are poor. Bet he will still consistently find work for years because of his name too. 177 games managed with a win percentage of 25%.

@Decky

I was just looking at this - and i think the next game will decide his fate - as they are away at Oxford (who are sinking like a stone as well from what I can see) - so if they don't win (Argyle) then I think he'll be shown the door.

What a lovely new year present that would be.
