The amount of useful information you can gain from some video far away, would be limited to say the least.

Might get the starting 11, and formation if lucky. Which both would have been assumed anyway.

This punishment is very harsh.  Especially considering players sell/share this information without any consequences.

For a playoff semi, getting penalty practice on film could have been worth £100m+ on it's own

I know Southampton broke the rules, but I think the punishment is massively excessive. Kicking them out of the final + a 4pt deduction at start of next season.

The rules say no observing an opponent within 72 hours of a game with them.

So if the lad was there the day before, that would have been fine? Shouldn't put a time limit on it if its so bad, just say no observing at all.

Whatever you think of Southampton for what they've done, its harsh on supporters who bought tickets, etc for the final now.

Naa. They thought they were funny as fuck goading boro fans about it, and we're laughing when they got through. Fuck em. Cunts got what they deserved.

I think that’s a bit bullshit. Clubs have used all sorts to gain small advantages and they’ve participated in some dark arts to try and gain some intel but expelling them when they’ve beaten Boro seems harsh.

Fine them or something but that seems extreme to me.

Also fuck Boro back in the Premier League

Where does it stop?

If they were not kicked out then Southampton were likely to be promoted and gain £100m overnight. A fine seems like a reasonable gamble.

"You're gonna spy in a minute!"

"We saw you spy on the Tele".

Didn't quite think they'd expel Southampton, and a pts deduction as well.

Ouch. It certainly should be a future deterrent.

They changed/brought in new rules specifically to stop these kinds of things though.

Good news for the travelling Mags. No Boxing day or Monday night nightmare journey

We’ll still be away in Manchester on Boxing Day.

Also Hull or Boro away on a Monday night could still be classed as a nightmare.
