Group B: England, Iran, United States, Wales (England and USA qualify)

Perfect result for England really. I'd rather USA have won because I despise those Welsh cunts but for the sake of England it's the best outcome.

USA will certainly be a tougher test than Iran though, they looked decent at times. Wouldn't be surprised to see them finish 2nd.

No idea why Wales did not start Moore. The US looked questionable defensively once there was a player there to engage with them.

Zimmerman just gave away two points with that challenge, for no reason whatsoever. Very frustrating. US did not create enough chances with their dominance, either.

We pressed and looked dangerous in the first half, winning the ball back and everything. Personally I thought starting Sargent wasn't the right call, but not sure if any of the othe guys would have done any better. Shame Weah is a wide forward as he's strong and qiuck enough to get in behind - the team was crying out for Gio Reyna's creativity more so than Aarronson.

Thought our passing was decent, but all very direct with very little movement off the ball and no anticipation of the through ball.

Zimmerman and Ream were solid enough, but all it took was one stupid foul to drop the 2 points. We didn’t need a win, but we’re in big trouble if Wales take anything from Iran.

Not having a true striker is going to hurt. Would kill for wor Callum up top.

Hard to understand how your attackers got worse the more space they had to carry the ball and run into as Wales started to press. Yes, like Wales in the first you didn’t hold it as well but when you got it forward the use of the ball was terrible. Fair result overall. Toss up to who goes through IMO but I think Iran will improve and makes things difficult but Moore can potentially destroy them from set pieces which they looked weak as piss at.

Weirdly I thought the exact opposite, but hard to comment as the 2 halves were very different. 1st half I felt you were full of energy, good movement off the ball (yes direct) but Wales couldn't cope. 2nd half all that fell apart and you were passing it all over the shop, especially at the back, getting caught in possession putting the pressure back on to you.

Best neutral game so far. Felt more of a WC this evening. 1st time for me.

Smith and Wesson McKennie absolutely nailed on to be suspended for the last match when Coach Sneakers tells his team to once more kick anything that moves in midfield.

You actually post like a right-wing American sports studio analyst  like you work for One America News Network's newly created sports division

Really feels like we’re missing a mean streak in this team. Lot of energy, but you need a bit of nastiness at times. Missing the likes of Dempsey, Bradley, Jermaine Jones.

Plenty of that at the back. Thought one of those tackles was a declaration of war!  Know what you mean though, tidy finish aside from Weah, there doesn't seem much upfront, certainly no leadership.

Will it be a bitter match, US vs Iran? It's a really interesting group, tbf.

Our CBs were our weakest link - the American press loves to gush over Zimmerman who's bang average anywhere but MLS. Perhaps doesn't work having 2 Box to Box mids with Adams sitting? Need a proper #10 like Gio in there to create and Sargent was great for our goal but he's not a target man, which we seemingly don't have / didn't bring. Berhalter's plan went to shit in the second half, not surprising.

We couldn't kill the game off in the first half when they were shit scared of our press. We should have won today but there's a chance we will struggle to breakdown Iran and then lose after a try-hard performance to England.
