Love that we have that shithouse edge to us now, we spent years under Bruce being soft as shite.

We absolutely need a gritty side to our game. All winning sides have it.

I hate Chelsea. I'm almost slightly annoyed we didn't batter them with the scoreline. We did batter them though, we were so much better than them.

The most satisfying thing about these games against the 'big guns' has been that we're never truly outclassed and more often than not, have been the better side.

That's the big difference between this side and any of our teams since Keegan's.

Even under Bobby we were likely to get a hiding off the top sides. Not any more.

The table is completely the opposite for us to a year ago.

We had 1 win a year ago at this point, 1 defeat now.

-13 goal difference, to +18.

Third worst defensive record to joint best.

10 points to 30 points [emoji38]

We're fucking mint.

Such a controlled performance. Chelsea looked toothless for the majority, barely able to put a foot on the ball, limited to speculative breakaway counters which were mostly snuffed out within 2-3 seconds.

Probably not even a great NUFC performance (not that I'm complaining) with Bruno missing a few throughballs to put overlapping runners in behind the Chelsea defence. By his own high standards they are easy passes. Can't fault Dan Burn's commitment but his limitations were more at the surface than normal in possession too. And nee Wilson starting. To still be as dominant is proper "is this real life.jpg" stuff.

What a fucking win! I love how we are talented and composed, but also get stuck into teams, I could not think of a playing style more suited to a cold night in the Gallowgate.

I love this team! every one of them going in like they're one of us. Full hearted, giving 150%, special mention to Longstaff, Big Joe and Botman. Energy levels!

Fucking Brilliant result and fairly controlled.

Onwards and upwards! HWTL
