IF we miss out, and I don’t think we will we can look at our away form Vs the better sides. Pumped at Villa, Fulham and Brentford. Lost at Liverpool, Chelsea.  Away form has picked up generally but away against better sides needs to improve

I'd be looking a lot more sharply at our home form. Losses against West Ham, Brighton, Fulham and Bournemouth. Even a couple of draws would've radically lowered some people's pulses on here.

That west ham game in particular feels like it's to blame if we miss out

We’ve been class away, one of our best seasons. It’s losing 4 homes games to teams below us (8th downward) that’s been our biggest weakness.

Arguably the nadir of our season, although the game after where we drew 1-1 with Palace having had literally zero shots on goal, on or off target, is a strong competitor.

It's been a real season of two halves, and thankfully we're finishing on the upswing. The Bruno-Tonali switch and the decision to fully back Murphy over Barnes and Gordon on the right were big parts of saving our season.

Aye. You'd expect to lose away to the better sides. Losing at home to West Ham, Bournemouth, Brighton & Fulham though...even just 6 points from that bunch.

Yeah I agree with this ,7 of our 8 away wins have came against the bottom 7 teams with Forest being the only team in the entire top 13 we have won at. Whilst we have dropped some daft home points that's always going to happen and I would presume most of the other teams around us have done similar .

Haven't looked, but I bet there aren't many sides who are decent away to top half sides.

Nobody to blame but ourselves if we don't get CL football. We should already have qualified weeks ago.

If we'd qualified for the CL "weeks ago" we would've been close to Liverpool on points. Pretty sure even Arsenal can technically still finish 6th.

Not seen the Villa game but all that mattered for them was they won, if they can do it next week then I fully expect them to win the last two as well.  Be happy enough matching Chelsea result tomorrow as long as forest don’t win.

Not really weeks ago.

I mean if we drew with Villa instead of getting hammered, we’d be in a much better position, but we had won something like 6 games on the bounce by then and Villa was our 3rd game in a week.

You don’t often get 7 game winning streaks, or even 7 games unbeaten, plus the 3 games afterwards that would have been required.

Since the beginning of December, our form has been insane to be honest.

Not sure if it’s only us, but it’s a very weird football fan thing to be sitting in an incredible position with 4 games to go, a trophy in the cabinet and debating how much better we should have done.

We've been below MagPar.

If it was not for us being so close at this stage of the season, missing out on CL wouldnt bother me really. Still the best season for most of us.

My view is quite black and white (pun not intended). If we deserve champions league, we'll get it. If we don't, we won't. I know that sounds obvious.

All the coulda/shoulda/woulda stuff feels like unnecessary torture.

The table won't lie etc.

Yeah, I was just thinking why I’m so bothered

We’ll do it like, I don’t have any doubt really.
