TBG Posted Wednesday at 23:19 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:19 Currently level with Bruno, Isak, Tonali, and Burn as my pick to get the winning goal in the cup final.

Wouldn't be surprised if he beat it given the form he's been in during this winning run. Isak has rightly had the plaudits for his goal scoring form but Gordon has been almost equally instrumental. 6 goals from 20 PL games this season with 4 assists. dave s Posted Wednesday at 23:33 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:33 he’s class.. if i have one tiny nit pick, is the amount of times Hall does the over lap and gets in good space for a through ball to cross, and he always decides to go across the box himself instead, Hall can hook a canny cross in.. still, it’s just a tiny point. he’s quality

He doesn't need to use Hall on the overlap every single time but mix it up please. Hall's crosses are good.

For different reasons I'd love it to be Bruno or Murphy. Ideally both and Isla score as well demolish Liverpool 3-0. Actually fuck that, Bruno, Isak and Gordon score before Murphy lashes in a very late winner in a 4-3 score settler

Yeah he was very good apart from losing the ball a couple of times too many. That’s how it is sometimes, not the only one though.
McCormick Posted yesterday at 12:09 Share Posted yesterday at 12:09 If your wingers aren’t losing the ball once or twice during a match they’re not taking enough risks. Such a unique mix of pace, work-rate and winners’ mentality. Love him.

Not a criticism in anyway, a free heavy touches and sloppy passes, just stating what happened. He was very good overall. So happy to see him in this form. Lotus Posted yesterday at 13:51 Share Posted yesterday at 13:51 I thought a couple of his passes were not good. Really don’t think he has that ‘magic’ to drift in and play as an occasional 10. The difference with Bruno’s pass to Isak was stark. Still, his athleticism and work/team ethic is exceptional. Glad he scored.
Lush Vlad Posted yesterday at 13:54 Share Posted yesterday at 13:54 It's weird how people see different things. I thought he was frustrating and poor by his standards. Still scored, mind There were some almost HBA/ASM type moments from him with how good his skill and drop of the shoulder was. But he kept running down blind alleys or wanting to drift into traffic all the time and losing possession through over-playing or a crap pass. I do think he wants too many touches at times or seems to be over-thinking certain situations and slowing it down when it doesn't necessarily call for that. I've always loved him when he just gets on with it, makes his mind up and goes. It is what made him stand out so much from ASM when he came in. So much more direct and purposeful. Not a lot of twisting and cutting about with fuck all end product. Nitpicking, though. He is obviously a massively important player for us and he works like a trojan. Lotus Posted yesterday at 13:56 Share Posted yesterday at 13:56 Didn’t think it was his best game either. In some ways quite a few of the players seemed a little off last night. Probs a bit of fatigue and a tiny bit of complacency.

Gordon not using Hall on the overlap is the most obvious case, but Hall also at times passes to other players that doesn't seem to be in as good a position as Gordon, and they also seem to lash out a bit at each other when one of them takes an attempt at goal when the other believes he is a better position and wanted the pass (moreso than if it was other players doing it to them). I'd agree, but I've read they actually get on well, so maybe they're just a bit tempestuous on the pitch. Definitely seen a few fuck offs aimed at each other though
alexf
Feel that way about Isak and Gordon aswell normally, until Isak set him up wednesday. But generally feels like they throw their arms up at eachother off the ball etc when they don't get the pass they want. Compared to Murphy & Isak where Isak clearly loves the service he gets from him. But players are professional and very rarely does that sort of thing really have any major impact. Yorkie
Gordon rages at every fucker whenever he doesn't get the ball in an advanced position. Wouldn't read too much into his body language, he's a selfish player (no bad thing).
