Must admit, I wasn't fussed when he first signed, but he's one of the first names on the team sheet at the moment. And - he will only get better. Last few games its been Anderson typically moving into his space and making it difficult for him to get involved, there has been very little positional/tactical understanding between him, Hall and Anderson. Guy will want to return straight away, but we need to be thinking long term and tell him to go off and rest. If we don’t, just going to have him break down next season. He obviously should be but it’s Southgate - he’ll be looking to accommodate another CDM instead of using the best acting talent England have had in years (speaking generally here not just about AG).
