Southampton 0-1 Newcastle United (24/01/2023)

Good result but should've killed it by about 60 minutes. Thought Howe should've made a change straight after the Joelinton miss, tbh, as you just know that's a confidence drainer for us and a booster for them.

At least one of Isak or ASM has to make the starting XI next week. Ideally, both.

It's a good result. just wish we'd have killed off the game today. It was right there to be had. Could have easily won this 3 nil.

Team is in very good shape to go through now though, no doubt.

Lovely old job. Terrible finishing though - really poor. Attack looks so stale at the moment, only Nick Pope doing Nick Pope things kept us in that 2nd half. Isak and Maxi coming on changed the game - they have to start the next few games for me - let Willock and Wilson come on against tired legs as both aren't in great form.

Now we’ve just got to hope our utterly banal and useless local press don’t ramp up the pressure by constantly asking Howe and the team if they know how long it’s been since we won out.  They fucking know, you bellends - they don’t need reminding every single press conference.

Another win, another clean sheet. Wasteful in front of goal at times, yes, indebted to Pope as well. Should have scored more, but we're close now. Got to enjoy these times, this is a great era we're entering
