You can't do that legally as that is not only anti-competitive, but also total corruption. Let's see what happens when the sponsorship for Man City is officially announced

Since when has the legality of the rules bothered the PL? Isnt the PL virtually the epitomy of anti-competitveness and corruption?

Let's see what happens when the deal is actually announced. There is no way that they can knock back any sponsorship deals once that has been announced.

So these are up till 2022, when Boehly took over.

So I'm assuming these are the self reported breaches in that case and you'd imagine would then be fairly easy to prove.

You might expect lenience for self reporting by the PL, but that misses the key point that it was during this period which Chelsea may have had an advantage which still carries on now.

The fact that it's taken the new ownership self-reporting the old ownership to the FA... it really boggles the mind how much stuff is going on behind the scenes.

It will be filthy dirty behind the scenes.

The two clubs who've hurt the Red 3 most over the last 15 years. Without them doing what they've done we'd have had 34 years of Man Utd, Arsenal ,& Liverpool winning 32 of the titles.

Good point

Who / when was the last non red or blue club to win the league?

Considering Blackburn are also technically blue

It's actually Leeds (once in 90's) now that I recall - not as far back as I thought in that case

Villa once and Derby once in the 70's and 80's.

In fact, since 1965, in 60 years we've had only 3 clubs that are not red or blue. 4 if you include Blackburn.

Probably means the Premier League won't bother to do anything.

More because Leeds and Blackburn wouldn't have been allowed in 92 and 95.

On the Leeds point. They spent and showed ambition as a nothing second division club in 89, signed big names, got promoted had a good season, won the league.  As well as the Ridsdale decline being prevented, it also prevents their rise in the first place.

I meant as in this is an FA investigation. The Premier League are conducting their own, but this probably gives them licence to take a back seat given they've been through some bruising legal battles of late.

I'm team City to be honest and it very much sounds like they've succeeded.

It's worth noting they are FA breaches not premier league.

Yeah premier league don't give two hoots about agent fees.
