Lewis Miley: "unlikely to feature before end of season" (Hope)

Always head up, composed and doesnt need many touches to control the ball. Making Longstaff-esque runs into the box but looks more dangerous and comfortable when he gets into those positions. We're very lucky to have this kid and his breakthrough has come at the perfect time with Tonali out and all the injuries. Looks way more experienced than he is. 17?! madness.

Could feasibly field a midfield 3 of Miley, Longstaff and Anderson at some point, quite staggering when the academy has been shit and underfunded.

Really have to wonder if it has been as bad as claimed, or if the managers have just not been good enough using it and bringing players along.

I’ve said it before but his touch, how he receives the ball off both feet and how he finds a yard of space is second only to Bruno. He’s a special talent who has also shown great vision too. Hard to predict exactly what lies ahead but he’s already easily good enough to start for us

Wanna visit that Vukcic is CR7 universe at least once.

Some of his passing today was unreal like. What a future he has ahead of him.

That and that at least twice today he had 30yd plus balls bulleted at him that he had to come for, with a man on his back, and he laid off precisely, one touch, showing not only the confidence he has but the confidence his team mates have in him

Yeah, I saw an interview with Bruno today where he said Miley is always learning from him and the way he is happy to receive possession under any circumstance is evidence of this.

Really impressive. Doesn't look out of place at all and given his age that is a big deal. Those highlights above showcase the growing confidence the team have in him aswell and not afraid to give him the ball. That little reverse round the corner  link up with Isak late on.

Looked a damn sight more athletic today aswell, seems to eat up ground well with that long stride.

They seem to trust him a lot more. In his first game he was overlooked a lot.

Yeah, noticed this too

Had a quick check and tonight he had 52 touches, completing 36 out of 40 passes

Against Chelsea he had 38 touches, completing 25 out of 29 passes

As a team we had similar amount of possession (416 passes Vs Chelsea and 432 Vs Man U)

So the stats show he's on the ball a bit more, which supports the eye test that he's being trusted more and rightly so, as he's mostly making the right choice when he gets it
