Would have loved him here. I thought the same and Gravenbeech (spelling). Would be ideal for the Toon.

Andy
Of all of our midfielders he always feels like he's the least likely to lose it under pressure, which is pretty damning on the others given the age difference.
TRon
Should have played from the start tonight, his age is counting against him.
OoOGazOoO
Tonali shouldn't have come back in at the expense of Miley tonight, should have been Willock if anyone.
Alberto2005
Time to start giving this lad a proper run, I wouldn't be against him starting in the final even though it's guaranteed to be Big Joe, Bruno and Sandro.
Newcastle Fan
I wanted to see him start tonight, the three who started offered nothing.

Smal
yep, think it has to be him, Tonali and Bruno atm. Ideally Bruno would get a rest but not sure Willock has done enough and Longstaff is not an option.

Nucasol
Comfortable 2-0 win, Miley got 90 mins. Likes of Dibling and Acheampong who have PL minutes also getting a run out.

Optimistic Nut
Still think he could do with a loan. Looked way off it on Monday when he came on. Do what Villa do, get a couple of loans in to fill the squad gaps, let him & Osula go and smash it for someone like Leicester & Southampton next year. Only costing Villa half a mill a week for their couple of loans.

I understand the sentiment but loans aren't free. In order to loan Miley out we would need to incur two additional loan fees plus wages which are likely much higher than Mileys. We need Eddie to give the lad more minutes as we don't have the option to loan him out imo.
Newcastle Fan
I don't think he should be loaned out, he's already shown he's good enough to play for the first team, even played in the champions league and held his own, next year we will definitely have more games and it will be a chance to give him more minutes and continue his progress. Optimistic Nut
I've always said I like the idea of keeping young players around rather than loans so they can train with the squad, feel involved, learn from Eddie, etc. with Miley though he's already had a run of senior games, played at the highest level. Just feel a season of regular football would be his natural next step.

If teams struggle they seem to sacrifice the young players for experience. Edited April 9 by andycap
The College Dropout
I would prefer he is loaned out and we get in a CM or two. He needs regular football we need a player close to the standard of Joelinton. If we only get Europa. He would get those Europa League games so he should stay. If we get CL we need to use the money to improve our quality in depth. 1 perm. 1 loan signing.
