Great point. When Bruno was out for a few months we needed someone to step up and be our talisman and Tonali was the obvious candidate. He failed miserabley.

You'll not hear me say many good things about PIF, but to say this club has no ambition is beyond silly.

Pretty relaxed about it tbh, we knew a combination of Tino, Tonali and Gordon would level this summer. It's on the club to bring in quality replacements.

 

I just wish we'd do that before selling.

If they all want to leave then fuck them.

 

I rather have players who want to play for Newcastle United and give there all every time they get on the pitch.

Tonali and Gordon might have been amongst our best players, but that's not indicative of much really.

 

Losing Isak felt like a huge, huge blow. Losing those two for good coin is just good business, tbh. It's time for the next phase, you need to trade saleable assets for it in the current climate.
