"the conditions would have to be ideal, as well as it needing to be a player we want long term". We wanted Hall long term and had an obligation to sign him built in. Expand We have a team of people looking for players, we've had since September to sort options, Howe said he needs a new face to freshen things up, his press conference will be interesting this week. But I wouldn’t be that upset if Gordon were to leave for the right price. Don’t feel as bothered about him as I do Bruno, Isak, Joelinton, Botman and Tonali. Seems a top pro and a great guy off the field. I just find him one dimensional and actually quite frustrating as a player. All hypothetical, of course and I’d much rather he stayed along with the rest of them. Expand I mean I like Gordon a lot as a player, and like you said, seems a top bloke but his body language has been pretty off to me for a good while. I thought he perked up quite a bit after getting the new deal but recently has seemed a bit mopey on the pitch at times, not the same as last year at all. Lot of quality at times, wouldn't want to lose him but if we could stand to lose one of our purples, it might be him, gun pointed to my head. Wish we could just find creative ways to increase our revenue instead but it's going to take years. Edited February 3 by LionOfGosforth
Ketsbaia
Aye, Gordon would be the reluctant preference. Ahhh man, I really want to rant but in 48 hours we could be in a cup final (not too confident, mind). Purposely weakening the squad just feels a silly risk to take, pinning our entire hopes on a below average number of injuries.

SteV
Aye, loans with obligations aren’t really loans. They’re just permanent transfers with a bit of PSR manipulation to suit either or both sides.

Magpie Mover
Something to cheer everyone up.
